I add and change wiring all the time in my house and never have it inspected. Even run underground lines to outbuildings. No problems, no inspections, no questions, nothing. ??

You have a skill 99% of the population does not have. Congratulations. Now can we get back to how the rest of the population will handle the installation of chargers.

That would be mostly correct. Remember my post a few pages back 20% bought EVs but then their next vehicle did not buy an EV because of charging difficulties. These are your pioneers of the future. They will have to be able to afford the vehicle and the wiring additions to their garage.

Not until the charging installation can be affordable/given/subsidized by the entity that bans ICE vehicles.

The people in this blog are happy to get the wiring done for $2,500 and that does not include the price of the charger.

I disagree with you. MOST people cannot install a 240V receptacle in their garage correctly to code.
