Yup. My Trac-Vac 880 doesn't empty easy either. My young neighbor just reaches in and pulls it out with his arms. Easy for someone under 40. I use a 3 prong rake to pull it out. I think I have a good plan. Since it fit his Kubota 60" deck without modifications. I let him use it. When he is done with his yard. He does mine. I do about 3 loads a year at my place. Not worth it's cost new. Over $3K today. But I bought it used for $400 18 years ago.

The primary problem with these units not emptying easily is that they don't achieve enough dump angle to allow the contents to dump properly (despite having the hopper tapered narrower at the front)

Why Palmor has not modified the design so that they do, is a mystery that only they really know.

Good morning to all! The low went down to 18 last night.... that should knock the last of the leaves off the trees. High today should be around 58. A slight warming trend into the mid 60's by the weekend. No precip in the forecast for at least 10 days.

The pellet stove is purring nicely this morning. It has a timer on it, and I set it last night to turn on a couple times during the night. The last "scheduled" burn was for around when we get up..... well it shut off at 05:45 this morning, just as we were getting up. OOPS.... forgot to turn the clock back on the timer. All set correctly now.

Didn't do much of anything yesterday, just piddling around.... little of this, little of that. Organized some of the R/C stuff, cleaned up the shop, got some storage containers put away.

I might start a woodworking project today. The wifey wants a sofa back table. I have it all measured and sketched out for about 2 months now.... I guess I should at least get started on it..... before I dig myself a deeper hole...

RNG, I have put the Salton Lake on our RV "to see list" . Probably won't be until next year though. We want to travel up the Pacific Coast highway catching the sights along the way. We are still working on the itinerary as we hear of places. We are waiting for all the pandemic disruptions to calm down at least a little bit.

Still no further news update on the Walmart fire. Apparently there is major damage to all the stock in addition to the building. The parking lot was was about half full with a bunch of work trucks / vehicles yesterday. Probably be a month or two until it reopens for sure.

Everyone have a great day!

38°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 48° today. We got a few of those patchy showers yesterday evening, but nothing substantial. One came down pretty heavy, but only for a couple of minutes before it stopped.

Got a lot done around the inside of the house yesterday evening. Unfortunately none of that involved studio time. But, sometimes adulting must come first.

64 going to 75...nice Spring day...what? It's November.

PJ, sorry to hear about your wife's Dad.

Don, I think I'll try kale chips after seeing your posts.

RNG, looks like you had a great trip out to the Salton Sea...such an unusual place.

Buppies, hope you are feeling better. Thanks for checking on me, and you, too, Ken.

I've been in southern Virginia hunting with family and friends. Then to the mountains for another long hike...here's one photo where I thought of CHRISTmas due to the reds of the oaks and greens of the conifers.

Anyone ever sold the carbon credits on their forest? I'm in the process now...only a one year commitment to refrain from timbering...you must actually submit a bid for how much you want to get paid for it...if accepted you get paid after the year is up for the acres you didn't harvest. I don't have a lot of land, but think I could make enough to make it worthwhile. But I'll feel guilty participating in what's kind of a racket.

couldn't agree with you more Roy. Very divisive and upsetting to many.

wasted trip to church, they ran out of portland cement and didn't tell me. One bag left in shed in graveyard,
absolutely hard as a rock, plus it weighed 94 pounds per the label and I couldn't pick it up.
Too bad, they had a big area of flagstone down, just waiting for me. I almost drove to a hardware store but gave up
in frustration. Big oops reply back from the two flagstone layers, they will get me my cement and leave some sand for me also.
I've been mixing about four sand to one cement.

going to suck up the very pretty red maple leaves in front lawn

Winsgsprd, that's really some beautiful country there
