Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 6:00AM. Abundant sunshine. High 74F. Winds light and variable.
The 10-day is calling for rain showers through most of the period. And Lake Oroville is up more than 30 feet. That sounds like a lot until you think about the V shape of the canyon that holds the lake. It doesn't take much water to fill the bottom of the V, and every additional foot takes more water to fill it than the last.
Sometimes I put things off for way more than a day, Bill. Yesterday I got the new LED lights mounted, but I just couldn't bring myself to go up into the attic to wire them in. It was just too nice outside to be cooped up in a dark old attic.
What are they gonna do with all that venison, Drew?
Sounds like an early snow, RS. But it is almost November...
Glad you got some more rain, Bird. The good kind, too.
Seems The Whip needs to get out on patrol more often, Don.
Used the box blade to flatten out some washboard in the driveway yesterday, and while I had the tractor up there pushed over the burnt out remnants of a pretty large oak tree. Moved the pieces down to the wood yard, and will chunk them up for the camp fire. When I lifted the tarp off that pile of wood, a little mouse slowly came out from under blinking its eyes as if I'd woken it up. I filled up the side-by-side with what I needed and put the tarp back down, letting it go back to sleep. That pile is far enough from the house I can live and let live.
The fire felt good last night with just a long sleeve T-shirt and jeans on. And just enough breeze to keep the smoke away. Today looks like more of the same, though I need to make a trip to town.
Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!
