On way home from work today, saw someone had parked their RV trailer on top of the medium guard rail.

Got passed on freeway by a newer motorhome I was going 75 in my truck It was swaying and swerving ridiculously, in comparison i own a 25' class c never go over 65 with upgraded Bilsteins. Imo Seems like folks who never drove anything bigger than a Prius suddenly decided to explore nature in 30+ foot land yachts especially since the pandemic and have little clue what the f they are doing.

That truck/bridge issue seems like some type of malfunction not that the driver forgot about it being up. The truck still had the load of tires in it, which wouldn't be the case if it was dumped and driver forgot to lower the bed. I don't know how these semi dump beds work, but when I was running a 2-ton lumber truck you had to intentionally clutch and engage the PTO and then set the valve for up or down to run the bed hydraulics, so it seems unlikely to activate accidentally.

The cross road over the interstate will be closed for a lengthy time and then the interstate will be closed again to replace the bridge. They have learned to do those bridge replacements pretty quickly once they get everything in place.

And what's his plan to unload it?

He could probably run some forks right behind the tailgate at the mid point of that load and cut the straps. Take it right out, easy.

Probably stopping at every gas station and filling up on that ever increasing in cost per gallon gasoline too.

If you go the speed limit or 5 under it's amazing how much less your wallet gets drained.

I'm never in any hurry, I leave early to get to where I'm going.

I'm always 5 under with my RV and usually a bit more on the freeway. In a hurry, pass me.

There is a bridge, underpass, in Durham NC that is semi famous. It's called the can opener and i've been hearing about it for many years.
