Why I quit hating soccer.....besides the soccer moms!

Definitely more interesting than football and I played football in college.

Soccer is an acquired taste, I think. Infinitely more exciting and a higher level of athlete competing than American football.

I agree it’s an acquired taste.

Most sports do things to enhance scoring to make the game more exciting.

Soccer is exciting when you go to watch your kids or Grandkids play.

The eight year old granddaughter has played since she was four. She can start running and keep running until the adults with her tire out and quit. To me that is the main draw in having your child playing soccer from an early age. The physical fitness and mental toughness that comes with it are worth the trouble. As I have stated before my teacher daughter and her teacher friends say that the soccer kids are the best kids in their classes. The best acting, fittest looking, better grades, with better behavior. For her this has been noted in two school systems thru more than fifteen years. It may be different elsewhere.

They learn to play by the rules ? ... no need to bash the other player either.

Seems kind of like deciding a tied Final Four game after two overtimes with a free throw shooting contest or a game of horse.

Hah

You show me soccer players running 4.2-3 40’s and insane vertical leaps and I’ll agree with you. I won’t even get into the weight room stats, that would be too embarrassing for soccer players.
Show me a soccer player more athletic than Saquon Barkley or DK Metcalf! And thats just 2 of hundreds of examples.
The only thing they can do is run farther for a longer period of time.
Until then, that has to be the most ridiculous assertion I’ve ever seen on TBN.
