They learn to play by the rules ? ... no need to bash the other player either.The eight year old granddaughter has played since she was four. She can start running and keep running until the adults with her tire out and quit. To me that is the main draw in having your child playing soccer from an early age. The physical fitness and mental toughness that comes with it are worth the trouble. As I have stated before my teacher daughter and her teacher friends say that the soccer kids are the best kids in their classes. The best acting, fittest looking, better grades, with better behavior. For her this has been noted in two school systems thru more than fifteen years. It may be different elsewhere.

Seems kind of like deciding a tied Final Four game after two overtimes with a free throw shooting contest or a game of horse.
