Saw the show about FIL house, some of it was funny/made up (drama).
We met the couple who bought the house and they are really nice. Will have to stop by there sometime to say hi.
Really tough renovation for them, glad they are sticking with it. Many things we would not have done, but it's there house and we are so very happy they did no knock it down for something newer.
I can hear my wife commenting on everything in the other room, she grew up in that house.

Got rained out mowing. I noticed it getting dark as I headed towards the creek, so only did the outer edge and came up the other side. Looked at phone when at house, and it said close lightning and it was darker. Got it in barn, then opened the garden gate to mow inside there, and it started raining as I was mowing it. Got mower back in barn, shut doors, started getting soaked putting gate back up, didn’t finish, just ran to house.
Still coming down. .5” so far. Wind was really whipping the trees.

Good afternoon, hasn't been a lot going on (I like it that way) just enjoying life with the misses and family .
We celebrated our anniversary this past weekend 32 yrs + the 1st 9 yrs without papers for 41 yrs together. I don't know how she puts up with me!

We got close to 4" of rain between last night and today, will certainly be mowing and weed wacking as soon as it dry's enough.

Mostly - Happy Birthday to you, my sister took me out for a birthday breakfast yesterday was quite enjoyable.

Ken - that is a beautiful house, I love the old stone houses in that area. I recorded that show before I saw your post because it looked interesting, I'll watch it this weekend. They can't make a show these days without some type of scripted drama .

Roy - I've had the Lisinopril cough off and on for 16+ years, Burt's Bees honey cough drops work for me. (ymmv)

Think we are certified well. This was one of those medicare mandated exams. Lots of questions, vision test, hearing test, cognitive tests, light physical exam but blood work including cholesterol and AC1. Other than waiting for blood results, Dr happy with other results. I managed to draw a blank with third word of memory test. Ball - Flag - Tree.
A burger for late lunch followed by a DQ Blizzard.

good morning all
looks like a lovely day today, weather has cleared up and will be in mid 80's today with sun, just nice summer weather.
Last rain was .88 inches, everything is very green here.

more housework this morning, then work in the garden. Need to pull down all the snowpeas, mold or something has gotten on the vines
and I want the stuff out of the garden before it spreads. Then I might pick the rest of the beets. Not sure they will get bigger, just rattier looking.
And I will pick my first tomato today and have it in my sandwich for lunch.

I managed to draw a blank with third word of memory test. Ball - Flag - Tree.

my this brings back memories of a year ago, trying to answer all the mental questions correctly so they would let me
out of intensive supervision ward in hospital. I looked at the lady and said at my age I'm not sure I could remember them in order
regardless of my current condition. I guess I got enough right...

Unlikely my short term memory will ever be the same after last year but now I just write it off to advancing senility.

Surprising how many situations one can explain away by saying "I'm old and I'm a guy".

Hot cup of coffee taste good this morning. 52° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with mostly sunny skies. Good day yesterday. Spent all day with my aunt. Need to mow grass today. Hope to get some weed killer down. No other plans. I did get new hat yesterday. going to use it today.

I have been missing Birthdays and Anniversaries lately. Best wishes to all I missed.

David, I refuse to do the 3 word memory test unless I can write the answers down on paper or in notes on my iPhone.
