I've never understood how guys can work on hot asphalt all day. Roofing on a hot summer day is another job that takes a better man than I am. Working in the brickyard years ago i saw a coworker keel over from heat stroke one July day.

It doesn't feel so bad outside right now. Came back in and checked the Vantage Pro 2. It's 95F and 2( yes - two) percent relative humidity. As far as I can remember - that about as low for the RH as I've ever seen.
AH - the temps are beginning their evening drop - it's 94F & 3%RH.

It's 79degrees and 73% humidity here right now. Kinda yucky feeling outside. Air has been on for a week. Feels good inside.

In an hour the temp dropped to 75 and the humidity went up to 79. No open windows tonight.

There is a fire on Hwy 138 between Roseburg and Diamond Lake. It was up to 1500 acres yesterday, from 900 the day before. Hwy 138 is closed to through traffic, probably through the weekend.

Last summer we went months without rain and in September our forest fires burned hundred of thousand of acres. The air was so filled with smoke that street lamps came on in the middle of the day. The view was orange for days... it was weird.
This summer has been wet and at the cabin, it has rained every day I've have been there. One night a few degrees colder and it would have snowed in July, I had a fire going the entire time. The burn areas are dealing with mud slides this year.
It's such a 180* from last year. It's so green compared to last year, which I'm good with.
