Good morning.

77F and partly cloudy @ 10:30, headed up to a high of 83F with showers developing this afternoon.

Spotted male bluebird on Nest Box No. 5 just a bit ago, apparently no objection to the new location.

Before I came in last night I was sitting out back while everyone was making their final run on the feeders for the day ... must have been 8 - 12 cardinals, mix of male and female.

Just placed Menards order, will likely run down later and pick it up, and hit the mower shop on the way down (or back)

Might also see what's out there as far as additional veggie plants go - I'm thinking we could really use another bell pepper plant or two, possibly an eggplant as well.

Will put string trimmer head back on the FS 66 and take it for a walk up by shop to mow down dead grass where the day lilies transplants will go.

Check for ramps up at the shop so I can get under the deck on the Cub to remove the blades and clean the deck.

Grass probably needs mowed down here around the house again.

Hosta/shrubs need dug out on northwest corner of shop.

Calling for thunderstorms again tomorrow, followed by an extended period of fair weather with some cooler temps which I'm looking forward to.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

Good to see you!

Talk about miserable, temp is 87 with 85% humidity making it feel like 106.
Met friends for breakfast and BS session. Always enjoyable.
Nephrologist appointment @ 3:45 so I’m probably not going to do much before that.
I’ve got to replace my tow behind spreader so I might go to Lowe’s and look at one that’s on sale and pick up a bunch of Spectracide bug crystals.
Have a safe day.

Ha, it says no assembly on mower lift box.
This I have to see to believe...
I picked this model due to capacity and it can hang on the garage wall when not being used.

Pruned the branches hanging over the driveway, had to use hand pruner vs lopper so could only do so much.
Then cleaned that all up and lugged cart to rear of property to dump in pile in woods.
Cut some poison ivy/sumac on one tree; made sure to soapy double wash my hands when I came in.
Going to go spray some Roundup on what I could not cut; it may not kill it but it sure won't like it...

Also have to fill two big pails of water and take them out to water new butterfly bushes.
Very pretty day but sweat band going on. But then I can sweat easily at 60 degrees when working hard.

My current work load is inimal, I think I'd be worn to a frazzle if I did all that RS does each day.

Keep the heat down there Toppop. Pretty nice out here, slightly hazy blue sky

nice back roads trip to local TSC, picked up a mower lift on sale.
Now waiting for friend to come take it out of car and assemble, and we can fix the loaner mower I have, and change
it from mulching to discharge.\
I used to use the FEL for all my lifting. No more.
I have a Mo-Jack too...even though I think it's quick safe and robust, I still use jackstands...
As far as using a FEL....remember mikim (probably spelled that nick wrong)? He was using his loader to hold up a zero turn, and his wife found him under the mower. This has been 2 or 3 years ago...(2015, so closer to 6 years ago)
I never depend on tractor hydraulis

Roy, I have a Mo-Jack, too. I liked it when I had a riding mower, but it's just in the way now. Wish someone would make me an offer for it, and it wouldn't have to be much of an offer either.

71F and partly cloudy here @ 23:00, heading down 66F for overnight low.

High reached 83F but wasn't quite as bad as yesterday - probably due to more cloud cover throughout the day.

Rain was in the area but none fell here at the house.

At the point where the sun really came out this afternoon she took a break to visit with a friend that stopped by and I mowed the lower front.

Her friend delivered two peach trees ... which we'll now have to find a spot for and plant.

Did get the planting bed pretty much finished up, two remaining blueberry plants seem to be making a decent recovery ... one more so than the other. Got soil acidifier and peat moss put on the closest one in the picture below and worked into the soil.

Had to relocate Nest Box No. 5 a few feet further south:

Finished up around dusk by the time we collected everything but we did managed to get all the plants in the ground and watered:

A couple of "Early Girl" tomato plants, one zucchini, one yellow squash, one cucumber, one medium hot pepper, one yellow bell pepper, and a sage plant which was really supposed to go in the herb garden but she wanted to get it in the ground.

Getting very low on screened compost so will need to get to work on that in the coming days.

No trip to mower shop or Menards ... will probably do those tomorrow as it looks like we have better chances for rain.

Gonna grab a shower and then hit the rack.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)
Those pics make me jealous of your beautiful black soil. Wish we had that here. Haven't had any luck with gardens at all. What the bugs don't get the horse does. (when we had a horse) He ate all our corn by reaching over the fence. Even potatoes are a challenge to grow. Flowers grow OK but you can't eat flowers. :(

To be totally honest, I am just not a gardener.

I have a mower Jack from TSC, works great. Did have to move the tire baskets out a little for the ZTR by putting a couple washers where they bolt on. Still need them a little wider, but need longer bolts.

Saw friend at work ask me if I wanted to buy his little used car and I asked him what do you got? He said it's an 08 Toyota Yaris plain Jane no options except for AC and a radio. But he said it drives great air conditioning blows cold tires are good. And he said he only wanted $1,500. I told him yes. So I guess now I'm in the used car business. But actually, I believe my daughter wants to drive the Yaris instead of the old Impala. I will have to teach her how to let out a clutch, because the Yaris is a manual transmission.
