61°F and foggy with light rain this morning, going up to 82° today. More rain expected overnight tonight and into tomorrow.

I had what I consider a good weekend; parked the car in the garage when I got home from work Friday evening, and it didn't leave the garage again until I left for work this morning. I like those kind of weekends.

Got up Saturday morning and started into taking stumps down to ground level. The chainsaw wasn't too happy with that decision, and wasn't fully cooperating. I tried hand sharpening the blade, which helped some. Still not ideal. Thinking I'll pick up one of those blade sharpeners from Harbor Freight and give it a try. I got three and a half stumps done before calling it quits. The others will just have to wait. I did get some supervision along the south fence line, though, from a couple of the neighbors horses.

Moved the scattered remains in the burn pile into one pile. Tried to flip the tree with the root ball over into it with the bucket, and almost dragged the tractor over onto its side for my efforts when it wanted to fall to the side instead. That was a sobering moment. I left it where it fell for now.

The Wife had started mowing in the back yard with the zeroturn, so I jumped on the rider and we tag-teamed the rest. Got everything mowed in just about three hours.

I had the intentions to get up Sunday and go to work on the front yard. I wanted to core aerate, over-seed, and apply some weed-n-feed. Forecast said no rain until about 4pm, but the radar said otherwise. I got the aerator out, aired up the tires, and made one pass before coming to the conclusion that the cinder blocks just weren't pushing it deep enough. So, I hauled out four 50# bags of sand we had in the garage. That did the trick. After that, I got the broadcast spreader and started with the grass seed. I got the front yard seeded just as it started to rain ... about 10:30am. That pretty much ended my outside productivity for the day, as it rained on and off the rest of the day. Fortunately, it was just light rain, the kind you like to see after seeding.

Had to air up the left rear tire on the Husqy rider before mowing Saturday. I didn't see anything in it, and it was still OK Sunday morning. Need to keep an eye on that. It's The Wife's favorite for hauling around the small dump trailer when she's constantly changing the landscaping arrangement, or dragging around the sprayer (it was way too windy to do any spraying this weekend).

Welcome to the GM thread, Williy.

Good to see you posting here again, Ron. You were missed. Hope you are well.

We put a rear hitch plate on our Husqvarna zeroturn last year. The Wife found one on Amazon that said it would fit our specific model. It did not. Not even close to lining up with the pre-existing holes. Sent it back and ordered one from our Husqy dealer in Centralia IL. She originally wanted it on there to haul the sprayer around, but found it easier to steer the rider with one hand while spraying with the other. Not sure I'd want to stress the hydraulics on the ztr by pulling the aerator with it. Even the rider was groaning pulling it up one of the hills in the front yard.
Many years ago I had the tyres going flat over time on my Husky due to age. I fitted tubes which were pretty cheap and never had any more problems. Its way over 20 years old now and I keep looking at the seats on the new ones and 'thinking' they would be very nice. So I guess a new one is in the future. Problem is I love the Kawasaki twin engine on it. I always said, "if I get a new ride-on I will swap the Kawasaki engine onto it"
It is a 42" cut.

Here is some more encouraging info on treating auto immune diseases by eliminating meat and dairy. Unless he is on Hospice, and has not given up, if he was my son I would be cooking for him.

I posted this earlier, it's a good way to start.
No... no hospice. We are trying to open some possibilities for him; seems the MD's walk away once they come up with a diagnosis. He's pretty dejected right now; my goal is to get him back into a positive mindset with the knowledge to confront this. Thanks again for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

Wife picked up a rescue yesterday, a 10-year-old blind and deaf Australian Shepherd. The story is that she was dropped at a shelter somewhere in Arkansas by an older guy who said he found her on the side of the road. She was set to be euthanized (had already been drugged when the rescue showed up, and they had to carry her to the car). A local group had posted a story about her, and someone recognized the dog as belonging to the granddaughter of the guy who brought it into the shelter. She is skinny as a rail, you can see her ribs, and her claws haven't been clipped in so long that they are turning sideways and she can barely walk on them. Wife took her to a groomer today to take care of the claws and get a good bath. She's supposed to go to a vet on Wednesday to check her general health. We'll just have her for a few days, as she already has a long-term foster lined up waiting for her. She's a sweet old girl, and has been absolutely loving the attention and affection. Disturbing that someone would do this to a 10-year-old dog.

I want to be a people person, but people keep ruining that for me.

More than disturbing
Thank God for folks like you and your wife. 🤙🤙🤙🤙

We play 5 games, melds at 50, 90, 120, 150, 150. The two winners at the table are the ones that go out first. They advance to the next table the losers stay at the table but move so they are not partners again. You never play with the same partner more than once. Since winners are the first to go out the points are secondary are are used to break ties of the winners for ranking at the end of the 5 games. Sundays are the play for fun, (ranked for only that day). Mondays are the serious ranking games. We are ranked every 3 months by total wins and ties broken by highest score.

Good morning! Cloudy, warm and breezy. 72˚F, 88% humidity, Wind 6mph.

The grass really went on a growing spurt after the rains and I'll have to raise the blades to level 4 (out of 5) on the EGO when I cut it today.

Looks like interesting play, especially for a large group.
We play based on the points. It’s possible to go out first and have less points.

Poured first cup of coffee. 59° with rain and fog this morning. Heading to 65° with more rain and fog. Got .26" of rain since yesterday morning. Everything is wet. Skipped house cleaning yesterday and modified casters on legs of Johnson band saw I bought couple weeks ago. It will cut pieces of flat stock up 12" wide. Still needs a couple of other repairs. Dr appointment in afternoon. Will do some of the house cleaning before that.
Sometime you have to wait your turn a suet cakes.
