Kiwi's win another America's Cup Sailing competition. They are pretty good at it. 4 in a row. Congrats you rascals. :)

But it’s a little short if the 132 straight wins by the USA. My favorite stretch was when the Aussies showed up with their winged keel and hid it under drapes so it couldn’t be seen, they barely beat Dennis Conners 4-3. Then after he won the 87 cup the Kiwis used a rather sneaky rules interpretation to force an immediate challenge. The showed up in their state of the art 90’ yacht with all kinds of engineering, it was faster than anything up to that point. Then Dennis shows up with his hard winged catamaran and finished a couple of time zones ahead of them. They protested and cried foul, but they lost in court and on the course. I’m not sure how they had the gumption to whine after the way they went about forcing the match with what they thought was a sure fire winner. Probably my favorite cup race.

Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 6:00AM. Cloudy with periods of rain. High around 55F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch.
Looks like rain all day, and maybe into tomorrow morning as well. Good thing, too, as a recent report shows Lake Oroville is at only 53% of normal capacity for this time of year.

Welcome to GM, 3Ts. We used to have an emoji for that...

What a beautiful site; the old tractor disappearing up the driveway! Finally sold it yesterday. Hope the new owner has better luck with it than I did.

Got steel cut for four pallets, and hoops welded for two.

Town run this afternoon, gonna work on building permit application for water storage tank this morning.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

43°F and rain this morning, maybe going up to 45° briefly today before falling down to near freezing tonight. Someone suggest our rain today may turn to snow on the back end tonight. Back up to the mid-60s this weekend and all next week.

Welcome to the GM thread, 3Ts.

Congrats on the sale of your old tractor, RNG.

45-55 today with off and on rain all day.
We bought a small (10’x16’) storage building about a month ago for Ellen to do her crafting in so I could have my space back. I went out yesterday to install retaining chains on the doors and realized that corner had settled and the doors would barely open and one wouldn’t close. I installed the chains and called the supplier, they are supposed to come and level it “soon”.
We had one car club meeting last night, big attendance, our other club is meeting next Tuesday and I expect it to also be well attended. People are tired of being confined.
Not sure what I’m doing in the rain today, guess I will see.

Have a good day.

Good morning! 44˚F heading only to the mid 60s. Sunny skies, not a cloud in sight.

Welcome 3T. It seems your contractor has too many excuses, very suspicious. I have never hear of cement companies being jealous of using another, how would they even know. Have not heard of a fire in Dallas but I'm in central TX. There are not a lot of combustibles in making cement. If a motor burns up it would be confined to one piece of equipment. Don't start asking him for details he might get nervous.

A new neighborhood trail is being prepared and in the finishing stages. I'll head over there today. We rough cut it last year and are at the rocks and mulch stage. It is short only about 8/10ths mile.

Yesterday was a mask day because of the New Mexico dust, the sky was brown.

Got my monthly utilities bills that covered the Texas deep freeze. Natural gas - $82. Electricity - $81. It was a lot less than I thought it would be. The city put the spike in electric cost ($47.8 million) from that week in a 10 year bond so we will be paying that off for the next 10 years. Since we are the first "green energy town" in Texas this is what the future holds. I guess our solar panels were not working and we had to buy electricity at very inflated prices.

I thought his family said he died of natural causes?

Yes that is what I read, but I also read:

"Fellow boxing great Thomas Hearns shared with his followers that Hagler was "fighting the after effects of the vaccine" before the former undisputed middleweight ultimately passed away."

Apparently they were friends and I doubt he just made that up.

It comes down to which one do you believe?

63°F and 1.97 inches rain. Looking like a repeat of yesterday.

Guess I’ll be staying inside again.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

About the only way I can catch up with all the posts is if I get up early, like, real early. I had a nasty tooth out a couple of days ago and that woke me about 2.00 a.m. today. At least it's not cold. Dogs haven't heard me yet or they would be bashing on the back laundry door to get out. They are very demanding but I do like a bit of time to myself.
Lawn dried enough yesterday to do some mowing but it started raining half way through. I got the important bits done like where the wife goes out to the clothesline. LOL
Threats of a massive rain event in the next few days. I'm not complaining after so many years of practically none. Sydney is in trouble with mansions losing their frontages with the storms and huge rain expected to add to that. There is an old saying, The foolish man builds his house on the sand, yet they complain when it washes away. Each to their own I guess.

Our 16 year old granddaughter decided that she wants to try a small garden in 4' x 6' planter boxes that they have. So I went with her to the Home Depot on a bright sunny day yesterday. WOW . . what a crowd they had at the Home Depot and they now have a much bigger variety of plants than I've ever seen. The last time I had a garden, I planted 10 tomato plants of each of 4 varieties. But now instead of 4 varieties, there must be at least a dozen or more.

Anyway, they went home for her to set out tomato plants, onions, carrots, broccoli, and more (her choices). I had already bought her a copy of The Old Farmer's Almanac from Tractor Supply Co.

I had planned to mow the yard today, but it's turned cooler (40 degrees this morning) with a 25 to 35 mph breeze, but supposed to go to a sunny 60 later today, so I may yet a little later today.

12:25 p.m., just finished, so I did decide to go ahead and mow in spite of the wind. 53 degrees and windy, but that's a lot better than summer heat. In fact, I mowed in a t-shirt and shorts.
