You threw me off a little in part 5, it starts with you on the bridge, then the next scene you're up by the wood pile already. I had to watch it a couple times, or was that your plan to get more views???
Pt 5 got messed up a little, I videoed from bridge to wood pile but some how I hit the slow-mo setting, so I deleted that part and instead turned it into a winch demo vid.

Why didn't you winch it down?

Anchor the winch on a tree or stump if you have to, and if needed, double line it...

Not set up for double line pull, need something for a pully-block or snatch-block to do that. The last pull I did was pulling top away from the tree that it's caught on. Other option is cut down more trees that I'm trying to save.

Oldpath, I sure would like to get a close up picture of how you attached your custom ROPs to your loader towers up front. It looks like you welded to the rear, but is there not a grease zirk that needs to be accessed there? I want to do something similar.
Your right, angle bar is welded to FEL tower but theres still an opening to grease the zerk. I plan on doing a full video this summer of how all that goes together with other add-ons, not sure if I have any pics of it or not.

Pulleys to double line are cheep! Even harbor Freight sells one plenty good enough for that purpose...

I'm surprised you don't have one!

Old Path has one of the best set ups for small tractor logging on here. Theoretically, none of us should go out in the woods skidding trees without something rigged up to our tractors such as he has.
Doesn't take much as you're rounding a curve with your tractor hitch load nudging up against a tree only to dislodge a 3" dead branch 40' up.

Dont think I'd want double line pulling on back of my yuppy tractor, my single line pull will already break things, trying to avoid that.

I think I rather have gg self release snatch block, then I wouldn't have to reposition tractor between a narrow obstacle course risking life limb and a tractor step......

Absolutely! That setup provides a lot of protection from falling branches but also provides protection from branches to the side with the mesh. It is so easy to not notice a branch until it whacks you in the the head after it slips past the loader.

I'm gonna take that as compliment. First addition was skid plate then fuel filter guard, then roll cage, then it's just one thing after another but just about everything can be unbolted and taken off.........

Yes and it only took me one branch and a lack of ambition to cut down every branch everywhere I go.......

Thanks another compliment, two in one day thats outstanding!!!!!
