I truly enjoy an Irish coffee every now and then. I thought I might learn something from the video..... I didn't hear a word she was saying...

Didn't get out to start planing the fresh wood... wind was strong, keeping the temp low, and kicking up a bunch of dirt. I just couldn't get motivated...

So, went and did a grocery run. We (wifey) got it all packaged for the freezer and stocked it. Then decided to break out the ash vac and clean the pellet stove. We are dropping into the 30's tomorrow and expecting snow tomorrow night. I thought it would be a good idea to clean it out before it has some heavy use.

Had an early dinner and now just watching some TV.....

Tuesday night will be 5ｰF. Then it will warm up from there. Toasty compared to what I used to have to live through in Winnipeg!

Good evening all. 41F for the start, overcast, light breeze. Moderate wind, overcast cleared early afternoon, and high temp was 57F. Chapel to start day, fixed pancakes for wife' breakfast. Conserved energy till nap time then watch football.
Covid update: Cooke, Montague, Grayson, unchanged, local not updated.
Ted glad the trip to the saw mill went so well. purple mashed potatoes, hmmmmmm. And a gravel fix and more gravel work pending

29F now mid 30's for high mid 30's winds 10-20 mph chance snow shower.

Plans for today...4" snow not as wet heavy as yesterday think tractor with rear blade would be better than pickup with plow,sneak in nap before 3pm,watch Browns barely defeat Chiefs,than see what the rest of the day brings.

Was disappointed to see Browns lose, but pleased Brady won. Hope Tom wins 2 more this season.

Coffee is done brewing. 27° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 34° with some snow flurries through out the day. Yesterdays time in neighbors woods went well. Chipper made several pile of chips. Will do some more clearing next week.
Been without electric power since 10 last night. Whole house generator fired up and is doing it's job keeping things running. Whole neighborhood is dark except mine and house next to me. The only ones that have whole house generators. Going to be some cold people this morning.
No plans for today.

Drew, interesting you should mention the Woodward Dream Cruise. My son and I have been discussing him coming up for it this summer.

Buckeye, since install of new toilet I have no fear of running out of toilet paper. Just need to figure out which button does what. :shocked:

Buppies, I will be checking out my AC on the first day it gets over 70° to make sure it works after furnace install.

Pennwalk, my house is over 80 years old. Not very tight. But furnace air circulation is very well filtered. Plus Humidification is very important to me. Even with a large bucket of water on wood stove humidity drop down in the 20's. Took 3 days to get humidity up close to 50%. My sinuses are happy again.

Good morning, looking out to a sky with only a few thin ribbons of cloud. Had a good few hours without rain yesterday and hopefully the same today. Best to pretend I haven't seen the forecast for the rest of the week, that way I can take my time and enjoy being outside instead of rushing to get things done. Winter has always required a different mindset, no point getting downhearted at it being cold and wet, better to just be thankful for these occasional kind weather days.

Roy, funny list. While Ron and Alien are on number 12, I am tending more to number 3.

Wng, it's a shame Coco is still not up to going with you on hikes, although I'm sure you tell her about the best bits of the trails, though that story about the dog that wears ski shades could have got her jealous. Does she sniff your boots when you return home ?

Good morning, the temperature is 5°F and going up to 16. Wind N 8 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

Well, the morning is over 1/2 gone and I have done absolutely nothing other than feed the kittens.
I think today will be an energy conservation day.

Roy, I don't have a favourite but I can identify with most of them.

Eric, just be thankful that you don't wake up to -40°F temperatures that hang around for anywhere from1 day to a month. It is not a good winter if we don't get at least 2 weeks of -40 weather.

The only complaint she had was safety seat switch when backing up.
