Good Morning!!!! 42F @ 8:30AM. Partly cloudy. High 57F. Winds light and variable.
The 10-day is now calling for showers next Saturday and Monday, and lower totals than the 0.5" the predicted yesterday for next Sunday. :confused2: If that trend continues, we'll end up with nothing at all. We're still in Extreme Drought conditions, and since October we've had the second driest year on record.
I don't think John Kay was talking about that kind of pusher, Randy.
Not surprised that Macaroni Grill went belly up, Ted. Last time I was there was a dozen or so years ago, and the service was terrible, food cold, and the wonderful garlic flavor they had in their dishes was gone. What is surprising is that they lasted as long as the did.
Those dogs look like they just got caught with their paws in the dog biscuit jar, David.
Tell your bartender less head on that beer next time.
Still happy with your iPhone Max? Do you find the larger size awkward to carry?
USPS tracking updates are few and far between in my experience, Kyle. Don't give up hope quite yet!
Looks like your givin' Ted a real run for his money in the bar clamp department, Paul!
Good luck with the tractor repair, Lou. Hopefully you've got a place inside to work on it?
Lots of problems with theft here, Dave, especially on properties burned by the Camp Fire. It's not bad enough that the owners were burned out, now many are living in trailers or campers trying to get back on their feet, and scum bags steal their generators and whatever they can carry away while the victims are sleeping or off getting supplies. :irked:
That's one well fed "dog", Bill. Coyote?
Our
CV19 data is showing a clear spike starting 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. Too bad more people didn't take your precautions, Don.
:welcome: Peter315. Nuthin' like a good stove to keep you warm in temps like that!
Glad your tile arrived safely, RS. Nuthin' wrong with black'n'white!
Congrats on the scroll diagnosis/repair, Kyle. Looking forward to spic'n'span Steiner parts photos.
Was back up at the cul-de-sac yesterday morning, this time aiming to take down one of the dead oaks up there. It was the easiest to get to, and in spite of the 12" trunk on the thing, I still tried to push it over with the tractor to see if the root ball would come out with it. No dice, so I notched one side with the little Makita, then had second thoughts about back cutting it because of the large limbs on the wrong side. Gave the tractor another try and the trunk snapped off, with the tree ending up right were it needed to be. Smashed into quite a few pieces being as dry as it was. Filled up the bucket with pieces and dragged the trunk down to the wood pile. Left the 1" vine of poison oak up there on the road, strung across the gate another neighbor had constructed, which infringes on my easement. He tied the other end of that fence to one of the dead trees that I'm taking out, so that'll take care of part of the problem.
Switched gears for the afternoon and used the pallet forks to bring up one of the steel Kubota side-by-side pallets up to the garage so I could start cutting it apart. Each pallet has five sticks of 10' long rectangular tubing, and another five of slightly smaller 5' sticks. Took three zip discs and an hour and a half, and it's almost all apart. I'll use the pieces to fashion hoops on a new set of firewood pallets that will hopefully be strong enough that I can stack one on top of the other. Once I get two of them built, I'll dig out the splitter and start catching up on firewood makin'.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
