We have more bears than deer here... and I suspect that the former is one reason we don't have more deer. I occasionally see bears walking through my yard. In spring when my pigs are piglets I have to be careful or they will be bear bait. So far I've been lucky, but probably just jinxed myself for next year.

A couple years ago this sow and her two new born cubs were frequent visitors in the back yard. They didn't cause any trouble though.

I have heard of poachers killing blk. bears for the gall bladder, but never a brown bear...
Actually, I think most are too afraid of a brown bear to go after one just for the gall bladder...
BTW, I've never kept the gall bladders in any of the bears that I harvested...

Remember this load of logs,
Well, today was the day to take care of it, and a friend and me, decided to cut the load right over the trailer they were loaded on, so I unloaded it and we got started on cutting,
It didn't take too long to cut all the firewood logs, to firewood length,
I did keep a couple to be milled into 5/4 lumber and these two 12 footers,
to turn into a couple beams I need for a project...
It was another fantastic warm weather day, and it was sure nice to get out and do some work in it!

Their should be a special place in helI for any poacher killing an animal to profit just from a gall bladder and an extra special place in helI for those buying it.
