Good report Drew, glad you didn't have to wait to vote ...

I headed down to the polling place around 14:00 ... no line, only one guy ahead of me ... but there were two workers at the check-in so no wait at all.

After voting I took The Woman's car over and got the oil changed at Valvoline Instant Oil Change.

Called Woman to see if she needed anything and she reported that all the wildlife was out back grazing.

Came home and noticed the birds have emptied the two sunflower seed tube feeder in just slightly over 24 hours.

Guess word has gotten around ...

Woman made more noodles for the stew and more oatmeal-raisin cookies ...

After dinner settled in to watch coverage of tonight's festivities.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Good evening all. 42F for the start, mostly clear, light breeze. Light wind, moderate gusts, Few high clouds and high temp of 76F. Voting first on agenda, took 3 trips, had signed up for mail ballot and did not realize I had to bring ballot to vote in person, back to house, retrieve ballot return to polling place. Get there wife calls, they messed up paperwork and she has to go back. Retrieve wife and voting goes smoothly. Gopher harassment next, made 3 tbsp castor oil, 1 tbsp dish soap, 1 gal on water. Hard to get mixed but poured in 3 holes gopher pushed some dirt out within 2 hours. Plan to repeat tomorrow. Bike ride, then trip to Sherman, wife needed new threads for wedding, I got solvent and 2 new microsd chips. Then had dinner at Red Lobster, which she really likes.

26 right now...snow showers this morning, then in the upper 40's this afternoon

Been up since midnight due to cramps in my right leg...hurt enough to wake me up. I'm no doctor, but the symptoms are like peripheral artery disease. Think I'd better get this checked out ASAP. My right leg is the one paralyzed when I had my stroke 21 years ago. It's always given me trouble, but not cramping. The good thing is, both legs feel warm...well, I guess that's a good thing.
Getting old is a *****, ain't it...?

Good morning, a frosty start to the day, roof slates white over against a pale blue sky.

Roy, hope it proves to be something benign.

Got called into the doc's yesterday to get my second "present" from them for passing 65 - a jab of pneumococcal vaccine. My first and the nurse said my last ever too, unless I happened to loose my spleen, in which case she said she would be happy to stab me every year. She was a very nice nurse - do I really need a spleen ?

I had to answer multiple questions before the unseen receptionist would unlock the door of the almost deserted building. They were tough ones to hear let alone answer. Either she was softly spoken with a lisp, not helped by an intercom that added it's own hisses and crackles, or more likely my tinnitus was just out to have a bit of fun. "Do you have a cough ?", "Have you lost your sense of smell?", "What is the capital of Bolivia ?" (?? she probably didn't ask that last one - mask elastic around hearing aids does wonders for the imagination :)).

LS, I am intrigued with your dust collector, is there a fancy vortex swirling gizmo inside ?

36 outside this AM. Heading to upper 60's. Looks to be a nice day. May get the lawn mower out.

Just plodding along on the porch front. No real break-neck progress. Sigh....

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Buppies, what to say, that's some pricey damage. I had a truck once, called it the deer slayer. Final count was 5 deer. Took 3 hits on one trip. Hence the nickname by the mechanic. I thought that event would total the truck. The insurance thought otherwise. Go figure. Good luck.

good morning all
chilly 34 going all the way up to 64 today in sunshine, should be a very nice day.
waiting on plumber this morning, coming back a second time to fix well pump air tank, which only worked properly for two days
after last time they fiddled with it. Also having a new kitchen faucet put in, replacement almost as cheap as Delta oem cartridge, so decided to just
swap out existing one for same model. Existing one squeaks and leaks, just worn out.

after plumber has gone, heading downtown to run some errands, pick up drycleaning, and then home to mount my weather station on side of garage.
Also need to rehang a downspout that blew off in the winds.
and for sure check in on elections, another close one.

am finding my beard is much tougher now and hair is just starting to grow back on my head.
Think I'll let my beard grow in for the winter, helps keep me warmer. Comes in white as snow.

Roy, best wishes for a quick improvement.

one of the problems with hitting deer and the resulting cost is that headlights today are so expensive. 650 bucks on my Ram truck, almost 900 on my Avalon.

Good morning folks

30 now high around 49 and mostly sunny today.
Supposed to be in the 60’s for the next several days.

There was some black ice on the roads yesterday morning when I went to pick up groceries, made for a few interesting moments!

Not much for wind today so will be a pick up sticks day. Most of the leaves are off the trees and with the wind the last few days they wound up in the woods.

Enjoy your day everyone
