Rs, been there done that!.... hope you find the problem easily and that it is a simple fix!

Thanks ... I'm hoping it's something easy.

Pump was replaced not all that long ago ... but the motor was not done at that time.

Could be a bad switch which would be fairly cheap and easy ... or maybe the breaker just tripped for some unknown reason.

We'll see ...

(There were bent nails in the castelated nuts on the axles rather than cotter pins ... )

Hey! What's wrong with bent nails? That's what holds the caster wheels on my finish mower.

Chris

Good Morning!!!! 83F @ 4:30AM. Mainly sunny. High 98F. Winds light and variable.
AQI 118 and 329, inside and out. Had it down to 12 inside yesterday at bedtime, but it gets worse outside as smoke settles from above, and it leaks into the house unless I run the furnace fan all night.

We tend to run the furnace fan constantly. Filters the air and helps to keep the temps better balanced between the upstairs and the basement.

The satellite says the fire is damping down a bit, and the fire cams seem to confirm that, but when I look outside, the full moon has things lit up almost like daylight and it looks like the inside of a frosted light bulb with all the smoke in the air.
NWS sez there's better than 50% chance of above average precipitation starting next week, and for once, I hope they're right!

Glad to hear it ...

The reverse blow housing doesn't look too difficult, RS, but oh boy, all that linkage to move it!

I'm liking the raise/lower hydraulic setup that was shown on the Agrimetal blower that I linked a video of ... seems a bit more straightforward and easier to implement. Couple of rods and linear bearings and a small cylinder ... ;)

43°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 64° today. It was downright chilly this morning, but that full moon was bright.

Helped The Wife last night get all her stuff organized for her trip. She'd taken her car to a detail shop in Highland to get it cleaned. When I pulled into the garage next to it, I was instantly unimpressed. The drivers' side mirror was still dirty with rain spots. I dragged her outside to give it a good hard look. They also didn't clean the bottom side of the rear spoiler at the top of the hatch, and apparently didn't bother to roll down any of the windows and clean the top edges. When I asked how much they charged her for this mediocre-at-best detail job, she said it was $125 + another $10 upcharge because it's classified as an SUV (it's a Kia Niro, just a 5-door hatchback only slightly larger than my 5-door hatchback Rio). She took a bunch of pictures and sent a message to the guy who owns the shop. I suggested she remind him that the whole point of calling it a "detail" cleaning is, well, the details that get missed with a standard cleaning. Disappointing that after spending $135, we were in our garage finishing the job.

We used to have two of those Cracker Barrel rockers. She bought me one before we were married, for the front porch at my house in St. Jacob. After we were married, I bought her one as well for the front porch at the current house. We rarely ever sat out there, so she sold both of them earlier this summer and replaced them with the bistro set we used to have in the sunroom. They are good rockers, very well made.

Good luck with your voting dilemma, Drew.

Today is my Friday, RNG, so I'm already a step ahead ... for a change.

Well, changing the garden tractor tires using flat bars and big screwdrivers is NOT going to work! After trying to get just one bead broken loose for 10 minutes, using every word in the book :mur::mur::hissyfit::hissyfit: I gave up! Not worth it vs. $40 to have someone do all of them in 15 minutes. The old rims/tires are loaded with the new rears in the truck, now just waiting for FedEx for the front ones.

PJ, sorry to hear about the bad detail job! I had one of those years ago and swore I would never pay for a detail again.... and I haven't!

thanks Ken and others. Successful morning after hobbling into hospital in Washington where doc's office is.
He took one look at my foot and said yup, but did a needle extraction anyway just to be sure.
Gout is caused by an excessive level of uric acid in body, caused primarily by food I thought, red meat, oysters, list of no no's.
Well....seems that only 1/3 of gout is caused by what we eat, 2/3 is caused by body's normal replenishment of red and white blood cells, which
in my case have been battered by chemo and body is working overtime to replenish to normal levels. Add that to a someone who already has severe OA
and no surprise this happened.

I have severely limited my meat intake and was already drinking cran cherry juice but picked up a bottle of organic tart cherry juice on way home and will dose myself
with that. Real pucker power and pretty expensive too. (thanks Don) Good thing I like cherries... Plus I doubled my normal dose of curcumin and already drink plenty of coffee. Doc said in two days this would disappear after he injected some mild steroids in that spot. Need to stay off my feet, find the proverbial bag of frozen peas to ice it, and nature will heal it.

RNG, glad outlook is positive. Did you ever get the fire truck up to 100psi?

gorgeous day out, bright blue sky

Bird - I hope that lens does the trick for your Mrs. Do they do both cataracts and then add the lens to the one eye, or just replace the lens and do the one cataract? I may need this as my sight is getting fuzzy.

I didn't bother to ask yesterday, but I know that he only does one eye, then after that eye is satisfactorily healed, he'll do the other eye. In my case, 9 years ago; one month apart.

good morning all. 56 degrees this morning going all the way up to 79 today in full sun.

Sounds like a nice morning for a walk but I'm not doing any walking this morning.
Woke up with what seems to be gout in my left big toe. Went online and read about it, never had it, sure seems like it.
I have very bad osteoarthritis so I know this is related but?
Weird, I drink no alcohol, have lost weight, eat little meat, and currently my juice of choice is diet cran-cherry. Only thing I can think of is I'm not drinking enough water.
Which I will surely do today, and stay off my sore foot. Hopefully this will go away promptly, really don't want another doc appointment at this point.
Going to try a couple tylenol and see if that helps, or some celebrex if I have to. They say prednisone is the best cure, but I'm already on low dose steroids.
It's like I'm doing everything right, but clearly my foot/toe is unhappy. Started last night several hours after dinner.
Have read this is pretty common; for those of you who have had this, was going to a doc necessary?

Long ago I read that this occurred in historic England from the folks there eating too many eel pies.

Didn't have much planned for today, now even less. Guess I'll call my arthritis doc and get his opinion.
Would rather be watching the Hosta Man blow leaves into the next county!

Drew, I have had gout for 25 years, prednisone is extremely effective but you should call the doctor. Shellfish is also bad for gout. Indocin is very effective but can be nasty on the stomach.
I was getting flare ups every 2-4 months and getting more often, I started taking tart cherry supplement in February, I assumed it was more snake oil, but I haven’t had a flare up since.
