I'm having trouble getting 6 hours of sleep, mainly due to BPH.
Kyle, like many of us, I have BPH too, and Flomax/Tamsulosin works great on it.
It's the "frequency" problem I have that makes me lose sleep.
I asked the urologist on Monday whether any diet changes might help.
He said what is basically heart healthy will be urinary healthy.
I looked this up online and suggested foods are:
Salmon
Tomatoes
Berries
Broccoli
Nuts
Citrus
Onions and garlic

Since I already eat all of them, not sure what I can do.
But getting up every two hours during the night has truly gotten old.

55 and clouds moving off to the east to leave what I expect will be a great sunrise...after a huge storm last night. Should see 72.

Got a nice long hike in yesterday, then gave the screened porch a good cleaning. Buppies, I was just thinking yesterday that the number of stink bugs are way down this year around here...still saw 2 yesterday on the porch screen, but not the numbers of last 2 years.

Good morning all. With rain set to fall steadily all day and wind gusting in the 30's I was looking forward to an easy day inside. That was until the post came with a letter came from accountants reminding me to get the tax info together. If only I was more organised it would already be done and I could spend all day playing in the workshop ... :(
I felt much better when I realised that now my engineering work is ending, that will cut down a lot of paper chasing in future :dance1:

Then realised that because it has run over into a new tax year (our tax year starts on 6th April), I will still have another year of accounts and forms to fill in after this one. :( :( :)

RS, that looks quite a fan ! Is that just for snow, or were you intending to deflect it upwards and have some fun skydiving without having to throw yourself out of a plane? :)

Also, we busted a pinata

Kyle, I was about to commiserate with you over the spilt milk ( ? -see below), then noticed the spelling difference - google tells me busting a pinata is a good thing ! Glad she enjoyed her party, though commiserations due to you instead on having another daughter reach teenage years.

When I was a kid, a "pinta" was how they promoted a glass bottle containing a pint of milk. I looked on you tube for one of the many old commercials and this had to be the one for you Pick up a midday pinta.mov - YouTube

It never worked for me, but I used ratchet straps. In my experience, it just forces the beads more into the center, when they really need to move closer to the rim walls.

I had the same problem, ratchet strap was too wide that’s why I went to the rope method.

Poured first cup of coffee. 48° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 61° with off and on rain. Yesterday was another conserve energy day after filling bird feeders. Missed the debate. Doesn't matter I have filled out my ballot. Need to drop it off yet. Need to do a little shopping this morning. Then some house cleaning. Should be enough for today.

Mostly, not fun when Sassy thinks that she should chase deer at 3 am. She is not allowed outside without shock collar anymore. I used the shock one time while setting it up. I have only had to use beeper a couple of times since then. It is working so well that most of the time all I have to do is say HEY! and she heads to my side. Been a stubborn little dog for training.

LS, fox squirrels have tails as big as Sassy.

RS, you should be able to windrow leaves with that blower.

Drew, BPH is why I have limited my road trips. Seems like any meds I take give me worse side effects than the condition they are trying to care. Diet change has been my friend.

Looking, off road for a 10 to 11 days. Why?

David, looked like concrete to me.

RNG, I have had good luck with the ratchet strap. Need to use small ones. Not the wide yellow ones.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

58 is the low so far, 71 later. Had 1.43” of rain so far. Didn’t watch the debate, I knew they would tell me what was really said anyway, and we two clear undisputed winners, depending on the channel you watched.
Stuff to do, happy birthday to the daughter and all have a good day.

The temp here is 48°F and cloudy. Wind SE 5 mph. 70% chance of T-storms with a forecast high of 55.

Ron, I hate working Saturdays and Sundays but all summer long in aide of the party I work and say nothing...After the contract is finished as it is as of yesterday I almost always drop by the house and take time off. I also strip the truck of most of the summer work clothes and stick in some winter clothes just in case the weather turns sour before I get the chance to take the much needed winter layoff. So you can call me a 'fair weather trucker', but at 74 years of age I think I have earned the right to hibernate in winter. Call it a holiday before my winter holiday (hibernation).
