My buddy (71 YO) only had 1/3 of his firewood put up as of last week but he has some standing dead ash he can utilize. He is poor for a reason...hardly ever plans ahead. If he gets hurt, he is in trouble as he cannot afford propane; and is at least a year behind on his property taxes. Offered to help him get some wood split and stacked but he is too proud for that.
I talked to my fiancé about it. We have an extra 5+ cords so we can "loan" him firewood if he gets into trouble. Last time I helped him out, it took a year to get 3 cords from him.
