55 going to 72, delightful.

Eric, I had seen flit guns at my grandparents, but didn't know their name, either.

Tilled and planted my last 3 food plots yesterday. Funny how fast crows can find new seed. Ready to give my tractor a rest and then a cleanup before winter firewood duties get here.

Good morning. Took a couple days to switch phone as my battery was not lasting.
I complained to Spectrum as our service keeps dropping out especially in the AM. IT was a email to Mayo, the Charter CEO, already got a reply. We'll see.
Also beached to Verizon as our cellphone service here is spotty. No joy there tho. Verizon's solution was an outside booster ("WeBoost" - pricey). Alot of discussion on a local Homeowners Association (our first meeting is tonight) facebook page. Sum and substance - few people know enough to comment but a lot are un-happy, including me. We are almost center of 3 cell towers (an app tells me) and on the fringe of all 3. Can we agitate for a local tower? Probably some yokel will "Oh, they're UGLY" and kibosh it. We'll see.

Toppop it would appear you had your boat the same time frame I had Baha 252 with 496 in her very fast stable boat sometimes I miss her. 70 mph was very easy to get to

Good morning! 71˚F heading to the high 80s. No wind. About 10˚ cooler than August.

Heading out early to tackle cedars in the 2nd FireWise clearing session since the summer break.

Poured first cup of coffee. 42° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 72° with lots of sun. Never got to garage door painting yesterday. While forecast called for sun. I never came out until afternoon. Keeping things wet. I did get all materials out. Need a trip to Rural King to pick up a revolver I bought.

Randy, I thought my 29' boat was fast. 40 mph. With twin 4.3 engines. Fast enough for fishing.

Chuck, We had the same thing with a much needed Verizon tower. People near tower fought against it. They won with township board. When Township found what it would cost to fight in court they dropped the case. Waiting for new tower to go up.

Eric, I used one of those flit guns when I first moved here. It may still be in storage cabinet in barn.

Roy, paid my tax bill last week. They already cashed the check.

Buckeye, 2:30 am showers. That's why I was glad when sons moved out.

Kyle, I have one of them bug zappers. Need a young person to operate it.

Mostly, how do you get a dog in mope mode. Sassy is always on go mode.

Buckeye, my grass has grown a lot since Saturday also. But I am going to wait at least another day.

Thomas, more ceilings to paint. :confused2:

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning. It's 74° with 93% humidity this morning and high is forecast at 90° this afternoon. The recent spotty rain has missed us here in the "rain repel zone" but there been enough locally .. to end our county burn ban.

We've got 6 very large burn piles and I started a 7th yesterday but .. not burning anything until we get a bit more rain.

I got back to cutting up several dead trees I'd pushed over, a couple of weeks ago.

Eric .. I got lots of experience with "flit guns" (we just called em' fly sprayers) as a kid in our dairy barn and horse stalls. One of the first things we did, when we bought this place, was install an automatic spray system in our 4 stall horse barn. No fly issues .. as long as I remember to fill the 30 gallon reservoir a couple of times a year.

Don .. I looked at several cedar tree "candidates" for cedarcide dismissal yesterday .. for the promised cooler weather. Good luck with your "good works". I'm glad to "train" any rookies .. in your cedarcide program.

Extra prayers for those in H. Sally's path. I spent a few months, in Biloxi, MS, at Keesler AFB, going to school right after Basic Training .. in early 1967.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Prayers to all.

Some of my friends had Bajas, Formulas, Scarabs, Checkmates, and one big bucks Apache. They are all quality hulls.
Mine was in the middle somewhere, 62 mph stock with a small valve 454, about 78 on the built 502 with N20. MPH are a lot harder to come by on the water, from 60 mph on, it takes about 10 h.p. Per mph.

Good morning , 48 going up to 71 - bit chilly doing the dog walk this morning, partly cloudy
Did not get the last stump out yesterday, day job was busy. Also found another stump in the same area, no joy.

Ron - amazing pictures as always
Flit gun- we just knew them as bug sprayers-don;t think I ever used one but we had a few at my uncles in MA

RNG - nothing like a fire to make you want to get the fire truck working - hope the weather is getting better so the firefighters can get more contained. Looks like many around SF are getting well contained.

Stay safe and be well

59°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 82° today. Remnants of Sally may or may not bring us some rain tomorrow. The voice on the radio hasn't decided yet.

I picked up one of those bug zappers racquets at Harbor Freight last year, as one of the freebie gifts. My Wife thought it was silly, until I had it out on the deck one day and she started popping flies with it. They are addicting in a morbid kind of way. I've mentioned getting one of those salt rifles, and she thought that was silly, too. I suspect she'd shoot it more than I would.

We just paid our real estate tax last week, Roy. Ouch.

When I was growing up, Eric, we just called that a fogger. Like David, I never knew it had a name either.
