My vote is for Jack S***…

How about calling it a rotary spacing saw? :;

Seem so I remember 40 years ago big land owners in northern ME use to hire people to thin out under brush with brush saws, so much per acre. It would be a good way to get away from it all for those who like to get out in the big woods and chasing moose around.

There are still some doing it. However, the big landowners are gone, and since we don't do the big clearcuts like we did back then the need for thinning isn't as big either.

That's a pretty nice load. You might regret posting it though, people will start talking about how clean you keep your tractor.

That's OK though, we're just envious! :thumbsup:

These made it!
These logs are up where I cut, split and store the firewood.

Not very exciting but it's a picture. Opening an old skid trail that has grown up in striped maple and beech saplings in the last 25 years. Just using a chain saw or forestry saw to cut at ground level. Then drag them to the side. Should finish tomorrow. That will make three days work - probably one day for a young ambitious guy :)

Good looking trail, which is what I need to start making in my woodlot if I want to get my tractor into it.

Here is about 2 months worth of firewood and the little stove I burn it in.
