Good morning! 82˚F clear skies heading to 95˚F. Hopefully Laura will bring some rain, we have only had an inch the last 6 weeks. Should get my UPS the day of or after Laura visits.
I need to dig some test holes today before I buy my garden root barrier to see if I can dig down 18" without hitting boulders.

... thought I was getting senile and leaving it open, ... Maybe I’m not senile after all.

I had a similar experience last week with the barn door. I'd left it partially open one afternoon, but was sure I'd closed it when I went back out to take care of the chickens for the night. Next day when I came home from work, that barn door was partially open. I was almost certain I had closed it the night before, and didn't see it open that morning. But then, I started to question myself. I asked The Wife about it later, and she said she'd been out there and left it partially open. She got quite a giggle out of it when I told her I thought I was losing my mind. Pretty sure the words "senile" and "sometimers" were thrown around at my expense. Turns out I'm still good, too, Randy ... at least for now.

72°F and no rain. Looks like a pretty day ahead.
Continuation from yesterday, but hopefully more productive. Probably just me, but my productivity becomes fractional when I have back pain. Sophie made me quit early too.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

83F and partly cloudy @ 12:30, "feels like" 88F ... high of 86F and a 20% chance of rain predicted for the day.

Pulled out those two dead trees last night, one ended up not being totally dead but wasn't worth trying to salvage, and the red bud broke off at ground level.

The Woman has been working on separating more hostas this morning, probably going to work on cleaning out this little planting bed (northwest) and see about getting them planted:

Then put the MMM on the Kubota later this afternoon and get the lawn mowed since rain is looking more likely starting tomorrow.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

We need rain, very dry, grass turning brown again. Unfortunately cantalope and pepper plants in garden wilted over the weekend.
Some grass could be mowed
Getting dark out, storming to the west, but they miss us or dry up before they get to us.

Sorry critters got your peaches, they did that to my sweetcorn.

Went out to spray green beans, and started pulling grass, pulled up some potatoes so ended up digging a row of potatoes. Nice breeze, rain missed us.

71F and "fair" @ 21:00, high today hit 91F. Overnight low expected to be 61F. 40% chance of showers or afternoon thunderstorms tomorrow.

Just got done cleaning the coils on the refrigerator and retrieving various Squeak toys and "prizes" ... which basically consist of anything that hits the floor that she can knock around ... the plastic caps off milk jugs or half and half containers are always good candidates ...

Made pretty decent progress today on the bed clean out ... got some more screened soil added as well. Should be planting tomorrow ... if the weather cooperates:

Hawthorns are really starting to drop their leaves and dogwood's leaves are starting to turn, end of summer is near.

Grass seed around catch basin has sprouted and is poking up through the straw ...

Need to go water that here in a few.

Hope everyone had a great day ...
