Good evening all. 76F for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Moderate wind day with some brisk gusts, partly cloudy, and high temp 99F, feels like 110F. Several more days at or above 100F, next week forecast for low 90'sF. Men's meeting this morning, then walk with wife, and bike ride. Heat slowed me down today. good nap.
Covid update: Cooke 252 confirmed cases, 1 active cases, Montague 79 confirmed cases, 3 active cases, Grayson 1191 confirmed cases, 67 active cases,
RS lot going on.
Luther glad you can move fast enough not to get stung
Drew sound like a good start. In the past, new hard drive came with disk copy software, if there is room for the second hard drive in the case. Gets a little more involved if not as the hardware to power the second hd is required.
Thomas good luck with boundaries, have you found them before?
Ron glad late fee only $10, hope you make good progress on window frames. Nice pic of the crane
Don 2-3 of cedarcide is a lot!! 1.3 hrs of biking and I am dripping!
Eric is the price reduction due to no extra purchases?
Drew wow $33/month, wow

Was hoping the sheet goods would be on a pallet I could tuck into tractorshed. Fortunately, the dry wall is wrapped well so should get away with 1 night outside.

Good morning all. Thunderstorms started to roll in again earlier yesterday, a slight misunderstanding with my wife saw me only closing half the windows she had just opened - by the time I realised the rain had drenched our bed and the carpet on the landing was soaked. Oops. :ashamed:

The heavy rain will probably start even earlier today, not that I've seen the weather forecast, however a walk into town for an appointment to take my sun glasses in for new lenses is almost certain to attract the storm clouds.

David, looks like you have enough "drywall" to keep you out of other trouble for quite a while. That name always me smile, we still know those sheets as "plasterboard", which I understand does back to 1888, when Augustine Sackett and Fred Kane first came up with a machine that sandwiched gypsum between sheets of paper. The evolution of gypsum board - From fertiliser to high performance lining

Thanks, Eric. That was interesting and informative.

good morning all.
Toppop, looks like we aren't going to dry out anytime soon, what a lot of rain in forecast.
Daytime highs for next ten days only in mid 80's, cooler than normal here. Rain, often heavy, predicted every day.
Having cup of coffee, not sure I'm going to enjoy it because starting to have stomach unhappiness, I'm sure due to chemo.

David, that's quite a delivery. Are you going to do the construction or are you having help? Your place keeps growing...
Looks like you were close to spinning wheels during that mowing, do you ever put tractor in 4wd? Hilly terrain and wet grass can
get exciting all too quickly.

I'm off this morning to get "loop recorder" installed in me. Ten minute procedure they say will take 2.5 hours. Hmmm, lot of waiting around.

Then I have to call up Verizon and get into it with them. They told me they upgraded my account
two weeks ago when I was at their shop, asking for unlimited data and they said oh we have this "do more" feature that is better for you. Well, no...now I'm getting text messages saying my Mifi is at 90% of 15 gig limit, weeks to go, and the whole thing has slowed down. I think they choke down speed when you start approaching the limit.
$110 bucks a month for one phone and Mifi should surely allow me to not run out...
Even though I put the pc in sleep mode when not using it, and turn it totally off at night,
maybe I have to be more careful about turning off hotspot, perhaps it's sucking up data just idling there. ??

hope you all have a nice day.
Thoughts and prayers go out to Jay and wife.

Wife created a new stuffing for stuffed peppers that was really good. She used bbq sauce, chili powder, onions, other stuff. No ketchup.

Another odd coincidence. Last week was the first time my wife tried bbq sauce in her stuffed peppers. She always adds chopped onion, and I have always forbid the use of ketchup in them.

Coffee is cooling. 53° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 88° with partly cloudy skies. Worked on window frames yesterday. Needed to do some caulking. Looked for white caulk. Forgot I used it on barn doors. Off to Menards. By the time I got back it was 2 hot outside. Back in house to cool down. Will work on project again today. No other plans.
Deer and Sassy were having a staring match. Sassy part of picture was so far out of focus I cut it out. I think deer won. Did not leave even when I came out to take picture. About 30' away.

Drew, 15 GB is a lot of data. Are you saving everything to cloud. Maybe someone is using your WiFi.

David, a new addition to house?

Eric, ceilings in my house are done with wet plaster. I remember my dad putting up Plasterboard when he built his house in the 50's.

Buckeye, if B-12 is not working. You may need to remove carb and soak it in cleaner.

Don, gasket installed wrong is not a uncommon problem with pumper type carbs. I repaired some that gaskets were installed wrong inside of carb.

Randy, stay dry.

LS, did not take me long to figure out that my planer was way too heavy to be moving around with out wheels. I currently sets on top of 56" roll around tool cabinet. Just need to remember to keep drawers closed when using it.

RS, auger rack pictures?

Prayers for Jay, Peg, Riptides.

Everyone be healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

74 going to 82 and rain.

Thomas, I haven't done my outside chores yet, so no eMuffin for me. The local weather guy just put his pointer over us on his radar map and showed rain rate of 5.5 inches per hour. Storm just sitting here and not moving. Interesting to see the hummingbirds still feeding..they wake up extra hungry...only birds about. Eric, glad our windows are closed hope your bed dries before evening.

Sodamo, looks like you are starting up a lumber yard.

Ron, great photo, again.

There have now been 20 earthquakes in the Sparta area, none as powerful as that 5.1 quake. I read an article back in 2011 when we had the big one (5.8) about 20 miles away...explained how the eastern geologic structure and rock properties below ground caused the shake to be more strongly felt, and to travel farther distances than the quakes in the western part of the country. That's why the 2011 quake was felt from Miami to New Brunswick and Quebec.

Well, still raining, so will change today's plans.

Good morning! 78˚F before sunrise. Wet bulb 74˚F, humidity 83%, dew point 72˚F so no dew. heading to the 100s. Up early looking for Gray2 last time I saw him yesterday he was hunting in the neighbors side yard and then he disappeared. He decided to come home 10 minutes ago and was sitting just outside our RING doorbell motion detection zone. No mouse and hungry - not a good hunting night, at least he wasn't the hunted.

I also found that unscheduled putter days is when I get the most done like Bird and Ron. So that is how the day will start.

Eric here in Texas I have always called it Sheet Rock. However the installers business's name always has the word "drywall" in it. That is one job that I would contract out. My uncle had his own drywall business and I helped him one summer. My job was to spot nails easy and boring for a teen.

Had the 1.5 hour ZOOM class yesterday via ZOOM, there is a lot of options and control for the Host and a lot for the host to keep up with. Both the iPad and the MacBook Pro notebook did well. We had 9 people in the class and the video on our newer equipment look best. The host (instructor) showed us how to set up lighting and height and background to get the best appearance also all the setting options for the host. Zoom is free for only two people and sessions for 40 minutes or less (with unlimited number of people). But you can start a subsequent session immediately after the first one ends or buy a membership starting at $14 mo. The instructor was a member and still works as a consultant and does ZOOM several times every week.
David are you the host on your weekly zoom get togethers?

David M, good looking Z! Once you have mowed with a Z, a riding lawn mower is history. It's just fun, like an amusement park ride.
