I would like to see a count of people that don't have a chainsaw wrench in their truck, tractor or case all of the time.

Gee Hunt, I can send you some matches.
I have a nephew that started a first rubbing sticks. It only took him 3 days.
But here, we have a lot of pine stumps and call it lighter pine. I don't heat with wood anymore but have started a lot of fires over the years. I keep a lighter in my truck.

Okay, I’ll send you my address!!

It’s called fat lighter or Fat wood here, I’ve lots of ways to get a fire started so I’m good

I watched a guy start a fire with a bow drill, it was actually rather interesting. He started by using the bow to spin the dowel until it eventually began smoking then started to glow red hot. He added fine tinder (grass, if memory serves me correctly) then slowly added bigger and bigger material until he had a fire. It didn't take him 3 days, but in the time that it took him to get it going the rest of us had already built a charcoal fire, cooked our supper and eaten.
It wouldn't be much fun trying to start a fire to dry out in a downpour after your canoe tipped over, either.

I don't have a chainsaw case, so there isn't anything in mine. I also don't have a bar wrench in my tractor; if I need one I have to make do with a screwdriver and 1/2 inch socket on the ratchet.

I keep a scrench in the pocket of my chaps, which I always wear when sawing, so it is always on me.

Not me.

I keep all of my chainsaw tools in a 50 cal ammo box (files of various diameters, depth gauge tool, stump vise, scrench, spare chains, small bottle of mix oil, bar dresser, spare chains, and a few other misc. tools). The box goes with me on the tractor or truck any time I'm doing a fair amount of felling or bucking. It's stored inside a larger box that also goes with me on larger jobs. That larger box also has a bright orange plastic imitation ammo box with first aid supplies in it, along with a variety of other tools (lifting tongs, felling wedges, tool belt, axe for driving felling wedges, etc.)

I do also keep a chainsaw multi-tool on the belt of my chaps. It's handy for a good bit of minor maintenance in the field.

I keep one zip tied to my chain saw handle using wire loom. It took a little while to get used to but I always have it with me when cutting. I also spray paint it blaze orange on a regular basis so I can find it easily if I set it down or forget to put it back in the loom.

I know you guys hate cheap chainsaws, but my Poulan has a built in tool holder in the handle.
