Boy, am I ever glad to have most of what needed cutting, cut!!

That looks peaceful and relaxing. A good pair of noise canceling headphones and a cold beverage in your cup holder and I would on it like 'white on rice'. :D. Or can we say that anymore?

Doing some loader work today filling in both ends of my bridge. I did a time run on 6 trips, came to a 1 hr and 10 minutes equals 2 yards so about a hour is best I can do with 6 trips, 3rd gear low is loaded bucket travel speed at just above idle, 4 low is empty bucket travel speed, now only 20 more yards to go........

Looking better and better every time you show it. Nothing like a new road into previously inaccessible woods. That is nice gravelly material you have to work with.

Had two piles dug when excavator was here couple months ago, one is almost gravely with small rocks and other is just dirt and rocks so I'm using more of the gravely stuff. What I could use is a rock screen which makes me wonder, I dont recall anyone here using one or making one, wonder whats up with that..............

Hey Mark, I dug up these old photos of my Rock screen. I bought this from Tractor Seabee (Ron) several years back. He fabricated it himself and it works great. The mesh is heavy duty and replaceable. I just added my own legs. You can use T-posts or in my case, I have some salvaged tubing from a ShelterLogic frame.

 Thanks I like looking at different designs it gives me ideas. Very few pictures on the other threads, but did see one with coil springs, who would of thought to put coil springs on a rock screen, got to be red neck thinking right there. Also amazing theres been no rock screen builds in the last ten years on here, a sign that no one likes separating rocks from dirt or they do it by hand.

I was able to get some seat time in to start working the road back into shape. Cutting the washboard and smoothing the surface and walking it down. I need a gentle rain to settle things and then recut ditch lines and edges, and shape for crown.

So, with seat time comes a little wrench time and having said that, is anyone else having issues getting small parts? Four different orders resulted in cancellation due to not in stock. Each time I ordered I verified that the part was supposedly in stock. Did not get a back order, just cancelled.

So a micrometer and some sleuthing I found what I needed this time around and now have a part by ordering across industry over the internet. More work than man should have to put in for something this small.

This worked great for me. I had to get into a tight space to build a pond-less water feature near our front entrance. I wanted the soil for the plantings surrounding it and I used the rocks, mostly all round glacial fill type for the creek bed. Found some old 'Seat Time' photos of it in action 'sort of'. Had to maneuver it into a tight place that only a SCUT could manage.

First, we had to place it on the elevated walkway to our entrance, then approach it from the other side and grab it and place it down on the 'sift area.

A weekend project that I never would have done without my BX! Some construction pics and a recent image. That Weeping Atlas Fir is growing fast in the 3 years since planted!
