Manufacturers do that to prop up prices for their "authorized" dealers, Don. I try to avoid purchasing products from manufacturers like that. Sometimes you can't avoid it, though; Kubota is like that. Usta be a place called TractorSmart.com that had prices about 20% below dealer prices. Kubota found out about it, and threatened to take the franchise away from the dealer who was supplying TractorSmart. No more TractorSmart.

I don't know if they are still around or not (haven't checked lately), but the last set of filters I used for the big maintenance before this last oil change came from Tractor Smart. They were all aftermarket, non-OEM parts.

What if your favorite soup flavor is at the bottom of the stack, RS?:confused2:

Everything that is stacked more than one layer high tends to be staple items that we use a lot of (tomato sauce, tomato soup, Bushes Baked Beans, etc.) ... so only one type of item per row ... ;)

I hope people are paying attention, and realize that there are a LOT of asymptomatic carriers out there, and it would be very easy to slip back into large numbers of hospitalizations if people aren't more careful.

Yup ...

Finished up the day soaking under the outside shower and laying in the sun. Doctor said my back problems are partly due to osteoporosis, and to get more vitamin D.:D Picked up a fresh container of meal worms on the way back from town last week, and the lizards got a treat. The beer was so cold it almost hurt my hand, but between it and the hot shower water, my back sure felt a whole lot better

With the warm weather here I have been sorely tempted to add some beer to the grocery list but have held off ... however, you may have just pushed me over the edge ...

Here's an Amazon order I placed last Thursday, showing the delays. Only the two Victorinox parts were delivered in 2 days, I'm still waiting on the rest of the items to arrive, and there's still no delivery date set for the Jimmy Buffett CDs (we've all got our troubles:laughing:).

It's pretty common now that I don't even get tracking info emails until a week has gone by since the order was placed. That tells me that all is not well in Amazon's order fulfillment operation. Glad I'm not an Amazon stockholder right about now...

I’m wondering if that’s a “local” distribution center issue? I really don’t perceive any big change here since the Covid started.

... RS sorry the mail is taking so long. I ordered shoes from New Balance and they gave me a estimated delivery date, based on UPS gets package to Gainesville then USPS delivery. When USPS got it, they said 4 days to deliver, it showed next day :confused2:

Yeah ... UPS "Sure Post" ... am familiar with it.

This package was (and is) straight USPS Priority Mail all the way though.

I did some research on it, and now see that USPS has a disclaimer up stating that their Priority Mail service commitment has been extended out (except for Overnight, which remains unchanged)

Last update on their tracking is that the package departed the Philly DC yesterday at 15:45.

Who knows ... maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised ... but we'll see ...

RS sorry about the pin size, good luck with rest of seal project.

Thanks.

Same here ... for the most part, Amazon, UPS, Fedex, and USPS have been killing it AFAIC ... considering the situation.

That's not to say that there hasn't been the odd fluke with a delayed delivery here and there though ...

Was hail at your place really baseball sized?

The largest size I saw was bigger than a quarter and smaller than a golf ball but my neighbor said he had baseball hail (but he is very old). There is still hail on the ground in shaded areas - now 12 hours later. There are pics in the neighborhoods all around here of baseball hail. I was on the front porch (covered 10') and had to go in the house it was bouncing hitting me. My roof looks OK and my tube skylight did not get damaged. Another neighbors tube skylight was broken by the hail.

This is the first night ever my neighbor left his car out on the street because his driveway is being re-surfaced. His car is hail damaged now, but not very bad. It was not predicted and covered a small 8 mile area.

Hang in there Drew, let the realtors do the work and earn their money. Don't worry about keeping it perfect for the new owners they will understand they will have a month of maintenance to do when they move in.

My iPhone TBN app is giving me grief again. when I tap the reply nothing happens, so I can't post pics.

While you're waiting, give some thought to soaking those threads with a good penetrating oil, and maybe heating up the parts to spit sizzle temperature before you apply it. Let it cool off and repeat as many times as you can.

Waiting no longer - but I'll be hitting it with the torch and some PB Blaster before I attempt to loosen the gland nut.

Is that corrosion on that second rod? Could that be the cause of the leaky seal?

Nope - it's just dirt (leak is not on that cylinder ... ;))

The leaky seal (external wiper on the other cylinder) actually blew out of the cavity where it was - probably due to a failure of the seal or seals preceding it in the chain.

Hope everything turns out OK!

Thanks - me too ...

Forgot what kind of bird I posted today. Think it is a Grey Catbird.

Keep them coming ...

Can't remember if I reported it or not ... but I saw a bluebird leaving the nest box closest to the house the other day.

rip,

Sorry to hear about the poison ivy ... hope it resolves quickly.

I even had a recent eBay order, that had 2-3 week delivery show up in five days.
