Good Morning!!!! 70F @ 6:30AM. Sun and clouds mixed. Near record high temperatures. High near 100F. Winds light and variable.
Another nice crane shot, Ron!
Foxes sometimes aren't very good neighbors, Mike.
Is something chewing on your siding, Thomas?:confused2:
The spray wand on my backpack sprayer started leaking last time I used it, too, Bill. Need to take it in to a shop in town that manufacturers all manner of spray equipment to see if they have a valve kit that'll fit it.
Keep meaning to put together a batch of spaghetti sauce and meatballs, Ted, but just haven't had time lately. Was able to find a tri-tip at the grocery this past week, and it came out real nice on the BBQ last night. That and an ear of microwaved corn on the cob made a nice dinner.
Glad you survived the planting, Jay. Wish I could say I'm not sore this morning, too.

Managed to get the rest of the solar panels installed on the rack yesterday, but it took a lot longer than I'd have thought. The hill was steep enough at the other end of the rack that the parking brake wouldn't hold the tractor in place. I found that out when I noticed one side of the tractor rising up as I was attaching one of the panels; the wheel had made it up the chock and was about to go over. Jumped up into the seat just as it came down and got on the brake, and decided to park it at the bottom of the hill while I finished up on that panel. Put a pretty good scare into me, too, I was shaky for a while after that. Had the box blade on when I built the rack, so decided to put it back on, but it was a royal wrestling match due to the uneven ground the box was sitting on. I think it's time to get a quick hitch. Tractor still moved backwards with the box blade down, but wouldn't climb the wheel chock. The side hill was also too steep, so ended up making a big W up and down the hill to get over there each time, so it took almost as much time to move a panel to the rack as it did to bolt it down. Really glad that job is done, and even happier I spread the work over two days. My arms were so tired after twelve panels yesterday my knuckles were dragin' along right beside the third track my butt was makin'.
As I was picking up one of those panels, two old single engine warbirds came over head flying very slowly. One was bright yellow, I think that means it was Civil Air Patrol?
Finished the day by cutting up short lengths of pipe, leftovers from the rack, that'll be legs for a battery rack. Oh, and enjoying some of that tri-tip.
Today I need to get a bucket full of dirt screened, soft fill for the trench this week. And get stuff moved out of both the pump house and garage, so it's gonna be another long, hot day.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!
