Making an offer on a 'used/new' Kubota 1140?

It's a big purchase and lot testing and salesmanship or lack thereof of dealers can be stressful. An easy test drive and an experienced owner with no great pressure to sale can be helpful. I'm retired and have the equipment and the time and the property and have been an educator/counselor career and personality wise for many years. I enjoy helping people make informed decisions and to get fair deals. If mine doesn't meet the need then guarantee anyone will leave knowing more than they did when they arrived even if the new knowledge is that they sure don't want that one or one like it but from someone else. I've actually helped many people over the years buy lots of things and also many Kubotas. My neighbors wife told me yesterday his box mower tore up and I encouraged her to give him permission to get a new BX and sent my just rec'd super sale flyer from Kubota with big discounts and extra discount coupon for the BX. The BX is really being pushed by Kubota in the sales flyer, made me consider getting a new BX23

I appreciate your offer. I spoke with my wife, and despite the information that dumping the bed might not be difficult, I think I want a hydraulic dump bed, especially as we get older. I'd like to get a machine which will last long enough for it to become an issue. Thank you for the offer.

Your welcome. Go forth and get one sooner than later and you'll never regret it. Can't imagine not owning one now after 9 years of Kubota RTV ownership.

I believe your hinges need oiling. Mine dumps easily, loaded or empty with ONE HAND.

You did and you need to come back with cash and "stuff" and get this 90 hour RTV500 to be your very own.
I loaned the single bottom plow you traded me to a friend and he decided he needed it worse than me and bought it and I've regretted selling it to him ever since. I also sold my Ratchet Rake to my nephew last year after buying a Pirinha bar/tooth and rec'd my new RR yesterday. The RR is so much more valuable to me and usable than the Pirinha with both having their useful features but they are not substitutes for each other. Anyway get some money and come back!!!:cool2:

I to have been surprised as to how easy the non hyd bed is to lift. My other two bigger RTVs had/have Hyd and I believed it was a necessay feature but not so on this RTV500, maybe size is the difference or balanced placement of hinges.

I was referring to one I looked at but didn't buy for several reasons, that being one. I have bought 2 since then both with the hydraulic dump and that is all I would consider if ever buying another. I don't need it often but when I do hydraulic is too easy not to have, especially as I get older and weaker.
