Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 4:45AM. Periods of rain. Thunder possible. High 66F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Rain started at around 2AM, hard enough it woke me up at 3. Seems to be slacking off some now, so maybe I'll be able to get back to sleep.
More nice bluebird photos, Ron. You picked a good color for that house.
Sorry for your calamities, Mike. Good reminder that we all need to be more careful when we're out on our toys...
That's still an awful lot of wood, Thomas!
Pulled card on back porch game cam, first time since December 19th of last year. Found photos of two stray dogs on it, nothing else to cause concern, and very happy one set of batteries lasted that long. But it takes 12 AA rechargeables, and it took all day to charge them, four at a time.

Learned that a pretty big chunk of the trench out front collapsed in the day before's rain, hitting one of the conduits hard enough to pull it apart. I didn't bother digging it back out because more rain is on the way today.
There was a break in the rain yesterday afternoon, so I had a go at wheel rolling the gravel on the south slope around the solar panel rack. Unfortunately, the new tractor tore it up more than compacted it, just too steep and too much wheel spin. Gave up after four up and down trips, got out a rake, and smoothed things back down.
Also used a little hand crank broadcaster to get Preen pre-emergent spread on the gravel. It was pretty windy, so hard to tell how evenly it went down, but with rain on the way, it was time to do it as I'd have to be out there with a garden hose to wet it down otherwise. Walking across the hill face to spread the stuff was easy, walking up and down the hill to refill the little hopper, not so much.

Got the
WiFi propane tank monitor working. Had to download a special setup app to do it, and was surprised and relieved that the WiFi signal was strong enough at the tank for it to work. The monitor sends the tank level once a day to the manufacturer's server, then I can use an app or a website to check on it. I'm supposed to get an email when the level gets down to 20%, and when the batteries get low, but I think the low propane alert be a long time comin'.

Bodyshop neighbor dropped by for a glass of wine last night, bearing tales of exploding fans and water pumps on his helper's tractor. One of the blades hit the helper in the chest, tearing his shirt and cutting his skin. He'll be OK, but they're afraid they're gonna have a hard time finding parts for that '60s era Ford.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start...
