You're right on all counts, except the bulk vs. retail propane price here. My main motivation was on the convenience side, but after the last fire, I was evacuated for almost a month. Folks that decided to stay couldn't leave for supplies because they wouldn't be let back in. I intend to stay through the next fire and evacuation, and now propane for the picnic bottles won't be an issue.

Everything at the main house is direct connection, even BBQ. Only bottles are at cottage. Installer didn’t bring the tank plumbed for the tap so I didn’t bring up. When it becomes a hassle I just may opt for smaller tank at cottage and go bulk.

Long morning.
Dr happy with Sophie’s eye, but continue medication, followup in month. Couldn’t get surgery pushed up, Dr says lucky to get scheduled just so much backlog at hospitals.

Everyplace we went busy, busy, busy, lines to get in and out. Most everyone masked, ad per rule. Stockage good, but seems to me some of the less than healthy options (chips) a bit sparse.

Scored a golf cart canopy off CL and by luck able to pickup while in town. Not as good a deal as Ted, but think I can make it work as my tractor canopy.

Wife convinced me painting it white might be better than blue. Picked up semi gloss white at HD.

I’ll be using Ted as inspiration.

Sounds familiar. Our pool house is a custom Mennonite shed. Its a 12X40 with three windows, three double doors and a single door. I was fired because I was not moving fast enough. LOL. I did manage to finish the interior. Electric, heat/ac, floor, drywall and paneling.

One would think that would have been a lesson learned, for the horse "run-in" that was built the last few years...no.....nope... I built that myself, went from a 12X12 to a 16X32....In the middle of summer....LOL

Should have just bought another custom building.

Yep, I am sure thinking about things getting easier, but for some unknown reason, they are getting much harder!

Are you using plastic primer under the white?

Don't ask .. how I know about that.

RNG, nice setup with the propane. How do you know when the tank is full? Do you use a scale?

David, nice score on the canopy, looks to be nice and sturdy. Awaiting installation pics!

Today was productive! Got the new shed ordered, no problems customizing to our specs, even added a roof turbine vent. I ordered a couple sheets of extra roof metal.... they charged me only $32. Cheaper than what I could buy it for, plus it will be already cut to size! I am going to build a small porch on the front to match the cottage. I could not bring myself to pay $925 for them to do it! At least I will have a hand in the construction, albeit a very small part;)

Then, I did get an early start on the fence stapling. 7 hours later and a gazillion staples (well I estimate about 1600), the fence is all done! I even got the steel gate painted with 2 coats (wifey did the first coat). I am sun baked and my fingers hurt. My butt hurts from sitting on a 5 gal pail almost all day. BUT, it is done!

A dump run will be on the agenda for tomorrow, also organize some left over materials into a neater pile.

Everyone have a great evening!
