Good morning! 40˚F heading to the mid 60s - A nice cedarcide day. Last Friday I saw my chainsaw priming bulb was cracked so when I got home from cedarciding I ordered another from Amazon. It was delivered and I installed it Monday so we are good to go again.

Yesterday turned into our one week shopping grab. There were still a lot of empty shelves but they are starting to fill. Face mask are not required in this county but are strongly suggested. About half the people in Walmart had them and all of the people in Walgreens had them on. Walmart had TP on the shelves at 5P.M. but still no yeast and some cleaning products shelves were still empty. No sanitizer. No lines to get in but they were counting people going in and out. People were polite and kept the 6' distance. Of the people who had facemark they were not too effective with beards and pulling them down to talk on the phone. I'm thinking they are just carrying the germs around and using the same cloth face mask everyday while given a false sense of security.

Bank activity email confirmed that we have received the stimulus money. Yea. Eric, no strings attached.

Randy, one guy on the trail clearing had an EGO and it really worked well. That will be my next chainsaw since I have had good luck with the EGO batteries for my lawnmower, blower, hedge clippers, edger, blower and weedwacker. If you check the Home Depot website they sometimes have refurbished ones.

This is for Wingspread, Thomas and others with bears wrecking their birdfeeders; sent to me by friend in Northern NJ.

Humming bird feeder like BIG glass of Kool Aid for bear.

Bear killed on road about 8 miles north of me. We have them up in the mountain in the county, but not usually seen in the flatland of the county.

Saw this picture on FB. Dad told me last night that he planted this forsythia in this stump outside his church a few years ago.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 21° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 38° with chance of light snow most of the day. Fixed birdhouse post yesterday. Wind yesterday made the 40ï½° go right thru my winter coat. Took rest of the day to warm back up. Dogs baths are back on list today. Going to stay in and stay warm today.
Lonesome George is moving up in the world. Now king of the hill.

Good morning. It's 45° here this morning and wind has finally fallen off. Our high should be about 70° this afternoon. This should be our last cool morning for now.

If wind stays down another brush pile will get lit this morning. I have two needing to be burned and enough material for a good start on another one.

I've spent last three days chopping out yaupon and killing the stumps with Tryclopyr / diesel mix. The winds have made more tree trimming dodgy at best.

Hope everyone continues to stay well.

Prayers to all.

Good morning to all! Low of 21, going for a high of 58, strong breezes later. Tonight should be last night dropping below freezing, but doubtful...

From all the bear news, sounds like they are definitely hungry after their long nap. I have not heard of any reports of bear sightings here yet...

I took advantage of the snow and inability to do any work outside to run into town and get the mulch. I was surprised that Lowes was not monitoring the amount of people going into the store. It was very busy, about 50% wearing masks.... the others were walking around like nothing going on...

Home Depot on the other hand, limits people going in proportionate to the number leaving.

Walmart limiting access to one entry, one exit, but not limiting the number going in.

Lots of the snow melted off yesterday, maybe 75%. It will still be too wet to do anything, but I am anticipating by the end of the week.

Probably a Costco run is in the cards for today, maybe stop at Home Depot (right next door) depending on how long the lines are.

Everyone have a great day! Guess what day it is?

Intrigued by those "stimulus" cheques. Are there restrictions on what the money can be used for ?

Fair question, Eric. But what makes you think a government that can't even control its own spending would even attempt to control how the stimulus bribes are used?
