Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 6:00AM. A mix of clouds and sun. High 77F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Classy lookin' bird house, Ron. You'll get some great shots if the bluebirds'll nest in it.
Given any thought to teaching your wife to drive the tractor, Ted? That way you could ride that chair and rest your knee (ducking:laughing

.
Waiting for pics of your next gravel delivery. Or maybe a video?
I could get used to curb side pickup. But only if it can be done paperless, or I hand out a piece of paper I don't get back. I for sure don't want to have to sign anything, as was the case at HD last time.
No internet wonkiness here this morning, but it's still early...:muttering: Wunderground has been losing track of my location for far longer than the stay-at-home movement, Drew. They could use a lesson or three on software quality control and configuration management.
Sorry to hear about your fall, Hawkeye, but glad there's nothing worse than bruises. Last time I fell, a ladder leg broke under me, and I landed on concrete. Knocked the wind out of me and I was sore for weeks.
The oaks out here do something to the ground below them, Kyle, that thins the grass and weeds to almost nothing. Don't know if it's the leaves or acorns or what.
Whatever was causing your drivel to disappear, Eric, hasn't slowed mine down one bit, so it's probably not a TBN thing. Is that huge pile you've been shoveling from the sheep? I cringed more than a little as I fed arm and even leg thick pieces of manzanita to last week's burn pile, but there was so much of it and I had more pressing things to do with my time.
Finally heard back Friday from the DMV person about the penalty refund. I'm to email her again with my smog certificate, then she'll issue the refund. And I have until May 15 to get it. Hopefully that will be well past the CoVid-19 peak.
Yesterday's pour went really well. I used marks in a bucket to home in on the best water amount, and got a fairly smooth surface on the concrete without a lot of patting and fooling around. The mixer ran without a hiccup, so it was probably the low oil sensor causing it to cut out. I should show my appreciation by giving it an oil change! You're right, Ron, the generator will have to wait three weeks for the concrete to cure, and I didn't want to keep relying on picnic bottles for propane. I'm also hearing rumors that propane prices are going up due to CoVid-19 related production problems, and wanted to get the tank filled before they took effect.
After a nice, hot, shower to get all the concrete dust off me, I started reading up on self leveling concrete. Looks like there are twelve or fifteen fifty pound bags of the stuff in my future, but only after the pad has cured. It gets mixed in plastic buckets like tile grout, so the mixer can stay mothballed. And all I have to do is pressure wash the slab and slip the forms up an inch to get ready. Supposed to be a windy day, so I better get some more rocks on the tarps I put over it last night to help keep it wet.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...
