Old tracks would have broke loose and been spinning trying to push those.

I'm glad they are working so well. So, besides just being able to get around, you have a whole new level of traction. :)

Great video on tree removal

Thanks. Here's a pic from this morning and would be looking toward where the dam will be. I was able to get 4 large trees removed. Still have 4 more on the backside of where the dam will be. One of the biggest was rooted down into rock. Will have to get some good clay packed back in where the root ball for it was.

That really shows how leverage can work for you. Soft, recently wet ground helps too.

Had to dig out around the ones in this video before I could push them over. They were 24-30" trunks. It makes removal much easier to take them down standing though as opposed to cutting them and then dealing with the trunks.

If you don't mind, when you have the drone up sometime, give us an overall picture of your yard and where the lake is in relation to the yard etc.

Will do. Pond will be secluded back in the timber and not visible from the house. I have another spot for a a very large pond clise to the house. Would take heavy equipment and lots of $ for it. This one will be a good test run before spending money on the othet.

That looks like the endangered and almost extinct copper striped gecko. They haven't been seen in Missouri in over 200 years. The EPA will be shutting down your construction site and you will have to build rides of way for the lizards and you will have to donate your property to the state to preserve the geckos!

Yep, I would quickly delete all photos and references to the gecko. And surely don't let that little guy on the insurance commercial hear about this.

Don't think I can change the thread title so for now Lake Corona it is. Finally had a day without interruption and spent several hours working today. The backside of the dam area is all cleaned up. Forgot to take any pics of it but the swamp is gone and only have 1 large tree left to remove. Started building up the dam. It's at about 5-6 feet now. Will probably build up a couple more feet tomorrow and get some temporary overflow pipes in. I have a couple of 8" x 20 ft drain tile unused at my shop. Will probably put both in and then wait for rain to get an idea of how much runoff this area has and how the soil holds.

If you want the thread title changed, say the word and it can be done. Not a big deal.

Hey jk, is Lake Corona on the same property as your beautiful event venue you built? If so, how close? I think someone already suggested a drone aerial view capture. That would be cool! And something you could frame and hang somewhere.

It is actually a few miles away from the venue where our home is located. Will try to get the drone out. Calling for rain here Saturday into Sunday so trying to get as much as I can done now while things are dry.
