Good morning, the temp is 29°F and going to a high of 36. Wind NNW 22 gusting to 30 mph. Flurries.
The inch or so of snow we got yesterday was gone by 5 P.M.

I finally found the numbers for CV-19 in my area;
Confirmed positive 28
Deaths 1
Negative tests 832
Tests pending 275
Total tested 1,135
Resolved Cases 16 (wouldn't that be 17? 16 survivors and 1 death? Still resolved, just in a negative way.)
I am in Northeastern Ontario. If you are interested, here is a link: Public Health Sudbury & Districts - Current status (COVID-19)

Happy Good Friday all

Many years ago, when I mixed concrete in a wheel barrow with a garden hoe, I decided to figure out correct amount of water, per 60# bag. I used an empty gallon plastic milk jug and as I added measured amounts of water to the mix, I added same amount to the milk jug. When I was finally happy with the consistency, I marked the level in the with w wide permanent marker. Still works to this day, even with my HF electric mixer.

Early on, I followed the directions on the bag, and the concrete was so dry it was impossible to get smooth. So I have a 1/2 gallon plastic milk jug with those marks on it, and a three gallon bucket with lines in it as well. I was hoping I could use the old one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand count trick while holding the garden hose nozzle full open to get a consistent volume of water, but apparently my count rate varies, probably due to fatigue. The slump cone showed up yesterday, so I'm gonna steal your idea of double measuring the water, one for the mixer, one for the bucket. And when I get a 6" slump, I'll mark the bucket and start filling the mixer from water from the bucket filled to that mark.

There were a few pours in the last strip that were just perfect. A few swipes with the magnesium float and the cream came to the surface without patting and splatting, no tearing of the surface from too much water, either. But it takes three or four barrels of concrete to get enough to work with to see what it's gonna do, so I'm in for some experimentation. But hopefully by the end of today, I'll have a recipe for next time, and a very special bucket.

45 outside this AM. Heading to mid 70's. High wind warnings still on this AM. Had some gusts to mid 50's yesterday. That made weed-whacking a lot easier.

More of the same today.

COVID is starting it's creep into our area now. Starting to see more of it in all the local papers. One of our local hospitals reported the first death in this area.

Have a good day all. Be safe.

No. My password was not impacted. Also, profanity, even masked profanity, violates TBN's Terms of Service. Your other post has been removed.
:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thought of many replies but trying to understand the change from "TBN w/ FP" and now I appreciate your diligence.
Good evening to all! I am officially wore out for the day, knee is seriously yelling at me, but a good amount of work done. Then made a quick trip to the quarry, got some boulders to play with tomorrow. Now I remember why I wanted a thumb for the BH!
How much did you get for the "boulders"? :)

Ted- I probably sold my last year's garden rock crop to your supplier

It may be cabin fever (or worse), but I've been "sheet composting" all Winter long in the garden area +/-, and every time I walk by the garden nowadays and the surrounds, and even over the constant Spring Peepers peeping, I hear this dumb done...dumb done.. dumb done. kind of feeling:eek: that there is "movement" in my garden area; serpentine-like; not like a swamp thing kind of guy would make.

Despite the weather, it was a go mode for smoking that turkey breast.

brogen supervised.
?Why 2 "e's in sheet? Did you mean manure?
I tried Walmart groceries again, no slots available thru Sunday.

Still windy, had another rain blow thru.

Sister still the same.
My Walmart/Kroger experiences have been banned by SWMBO (who is often smarter than I in retrospect) but many things would show up as being ready, but then after an hour drive were not there. :(
Time for Amazon grocery drone delivery!

Mayor of Kauai has coined interesting term for his non compliant visitors - COVIDIOTS.
That is worth a thread of it's own!

Good morning! 31 now, maybe 44 later. Yesterday痴 weather was interesting. Like RJH, had sun, clouds, rain, wind, and even a few snow flurries. Had a 50 - 35 - 50 temperature swing late morning to early afternoon. Then dropped steadily to 31 with high wind.

From the local news, northern part of T-County got the end of the tornado that skipped across NE Ohio Wednesday night. Lots of trees and power lines down. Some houses with roofs completely gone. No injuries locally.

Within the county, confirmed COVID cases have inched up to 25 with 0 deaths. Other local counties are still low numbers, other than Stark to the north.

Internet is sort of working and limps along. Talked to a manger yesterday finally and allegedly got things escalated. But no tech available until Monday. I may poke around some state agencies and see where I can file a complaint. CT attorney general is pursuing legal action against this company for poor service, poor billing practices, and poor support.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Pleasant 52 degrees going for a high of 70 today; another nice day, after 93 degrees a couple of days ago. But then an 80% chance or rain forecast for the next two days, and then . . . 35 degree forecast low for a couple of days. A weather roller coaster.
