Ted- Thanks for the pot bellied pig information. I remember reading a story about a PBP getting shot/butchered/eaten and the report was that the meat was terrible tasting.

I bet Brogen would dress out ~90#s of mixed cuts and ground meat.

Nice thought, Kyle, but shipping on the PTO mounted mixer was amounting to some $350. You can rent a mixer locally for a lot less than that. In fact, if I end up selling mine, I'd be very lucky to get half that much for it.:confused2:

Yours is gas-powered right? I'm telling you, you need to design a foldable frame to mount it to your front end loader. Use the loaders tilt mechanism to pour.

67°F and 2.04 inches rain. Started raining pretty good after I finished at carport yesterday.
I envision an energy conservation/mental health day. Wait, can’t really do a mental health day. I live with my boss, love her and prefer being with her. All good for my mental health🤙 maybe that’s better than the old definition of taking day to get away from boss, job, etc.
One thing for sure in the stay at home mode, we older retired folk have an advantage. We’ve adjusted to spousal time together. 🤙🤙

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

BEF- I am sorry to read about your BIL and Sister and even worse the fear/hysteria driven mob thought and mob action through social media. I will not be surprised to see increasing news reports of people doing crazy $h!t.

Back from worship.
I made one huge mistake, had music playing for those that came on the stream early, forgot to cut the music input when we started, it was louder than the mic audio. Suddenly my phone started vibrating in my pocket as people were calling and texting me to tell me they couldn’t hear me. Once I got the extra music muted it went ok, but it’s hard to be the sound and video guy while you are the one leading the songs. I had to remote display the streaming computer to the pulpit computer. But it worked out. Next week will be a different song leader and I will just handle the steaming.

Clouding up, was sunny. 64°

RNG, I did not go as far as finding out the shipping cost on the mixer. It would be nice to have, but I could get a lot of concrete delivered for the cost.....
there is a quarry near by that just started selling concrete using the you haul it trailers. I do not think their prices are too bad... $125 for 1 yard, $145 for 1.25 yds. I think I will try them first.

That's a very good price, Ted, and a LOT less work than mixing from bags. Home Depot gets almost $200 for a cubic yard of the 60# Sakcrete bags I've been using. I didn't shop around for the you haul it trailers, but maybe I'll give them a look for my next project. It all depends on where it will be located from an access/slope standpoint.

Yours is gas-powered right? I'm telling you, you need to design a foldable frame to mount it to your front end loader. Use the loaders tilt mechanism to pour.

I understand better now where you're going with that, but when I've left the mixer engine running and pulled the trailer down a hill, the engine stops. Probably something to do with float level in the carb. Starts right up again when back on level ground. So whatever I came up with would still have to use the mixer's tilt mechanism to dump the barrel, and keep the engine level. When I strengthened the frame, I also welded on plates for a couple of TPH pins, and a bracket for the top link. So I could use the tractor now to move it around.

But I first need to either shorten the axle on that side or move the axle farther back because right now the concrete coming out of the barrel would hit one of the wheels. It would be really nice not to have to use the wheelbarrow, as it takes extra time and I've almost lost more than one load when dumping it. More food for thought.

The Salem witch hunts all over again?

There's a rumor going 'round in our neighborhood Facebook group that someone here has CoVid-19. And people are naturally responding by wanting to know who it is and where they're located so they can know if they've had a chance to be infected. To me it's just another reason to stay home, and not to frequent any of the local businesses, which I haven't done in the past anyway.
