Good evening all. 66F this morning, partly cloudy, light breeze. Wind moderate until late afternoon early evening and got brisk, sky clouded up late, and high temp was 86F. Wife wanted me to make a town run, had to go to Walmart and local store, and still had to order some Items on-line :( Picked up 2 bags of leaves off the front porch and side walks. No splitting today, maybe tomorrow. Did get nap in.
Grayson county now has Covid19 cases, so no more trips to Sherman for a while.

Just for the record, you guys are killin' me on your gas prices. It's still bumping up against $3.50/gallon here, even more for Diesel #2. They must think money grows on trees, even though PG&E burned most of 'em down in '18.

Speaking of which, a court just found PG&E guilty of 84 counts of manslaughter to the tune of $4,000.000. The utility is planning to pay that out of the funds they've already said they've allocated to those that lost their homes and properties. So in effect, they're just passing the cost onto their rate payers, and diluting it by another ten persent. Four million bux works out to something like $40,000 per family that lost a life to the fire. I guess now we know the worth of a human life.:irked:

Laidback, non productive, relaxing kinda day. Hardest part was playing cards with wife and winning both games.

47 right now...high in the low 50's today...

New Hampshire joined Vermont in shutting down. I work in the defense critical industry, so I can go to work, although we are authorized to work from home. None are working from home at my facility, but those folks in our Connecticut facilities are, if their position allows it (HR and other non-production related positions).

55 might hit 80 today

Prayers for all

50 going to 75.

Beautiful sunrise and sunset pix.

Made a run to the county transfer station yesterday. Coincidentally, I had just received an email from the county asking that we take only essential household waste and recycle stuff...that their transfer trucks were getting overwhelmed with volume because so many people were staying home and doing reno/clean up projects and taking it to the dumpsters. That even lines were forming to get in. I live in the western side/most sparsely populated part of the county, and only one other truck was there...plenty of room left in all dumpsters. They had roped off the used oil tank because the recycle company that pumps out the huge tanks found some contaminant (PCBs I think) in one of their loads from one of the counties they service...so all tanks at the many transfer stations had to be tested.

Bought gas/diesel at the country store Exxon for $1.69/2.04. Was pretty happy since they are usually 10 to 20 cents more than the prices in town.

Finally dried out enough to mow late yesterday. What a smell of wild onions the whole time, but looks very nice now.

46 outside heading to 70 or so. Maybe a mowing day. Grass is splotchy and high. Rains moving our way too.

One of wife's best friends tested family member positive for covid. So there is that bit of bad news.

Hope all have a good day. Be safe. Stay healthy. Be positive.

Good morning, temp is 19°F and going to 43. Wind NNE 7 mph. Sunny!

I did nothing on the tractor yesterday, rained all day. My arthritic hands will not allow me to work holding steel wrenches in the cold. None of the jobs are critical so it can wait.

A run up to North Bay is in the cards for today. The neighbour that is 'self isolating' asked me to get her some stuff that can only be got from NB.

Regular gas is still up $3.70/US gallon, $4.31/US gallon for diesel. When I went to Brampton I paid $ 2.84/US gallon down there.

Have a safe day all
