Good morning!!!!

Good morning. Woke up to a beautiful clear sky, frost covered fields and an almost dry yard. :cloud9:

The last of the ewes left for their annual "holiday" yesterday morning, just in time. March had come in and, liking it, a single lamb decided to come out.

I know some of you enjoy tracking in the snow, our "driest" saturated ground gives an opportunity to do the same - on grass.

Kyle, before you are ask Don for his organic aphid recipee, have you thought how many your poor wife will need to pick to fill the instant pot ? :confused2: :)

We eat them like rice here, the harvest takes forever!

Good morning! 41 now, 48 or so later with some rain possible. It is clear now, no clouds.

March is far from the end of winter. At least in Ohio weather records, we get snow every March, it is the most variable temperatures of any month (20+ temperature swings)

Got the firewood split yesterday! Just in time for warmer weather.

Everyone have a safe and good day

We can get big snows up through the first part of April. We got a big snow right before we got married in April of 87, and several snows since on our anniversary.
February is usually our biggest snow month, I think we got 0.

36° going to 60°, but I see frozen stuff on radar in mid PA.

37 going to 64. Wind is coming back, and then rain.

We have gotten some of our biggest snows in March.

Toppop, sorry you didn't get to see your mom, but right decision.

Rick, nice burn pile...I guess you'll never run out of cedars.

RNG, my son gave me a drone for Christmas. It's a blast. It has a proprietary camera, but the video and photo quality look good to me. It will nearly fly itself using GPS, with and hold its position perfectly if it gets no command...along with return to home, auto landing, etc. Came with an up to 20 minute battery and an extra set of blades. Takes forever to recharge the battery, so I bought a second one. Have only had one small crash when flying it low next to a cherry tree, but no damage. Have kept it under 400 ft., and only out a bit over a quarter mile away. If I lose it or kill it, I will buy the same model as a replacement. Nice, easy to use controller, and syncs to my smartphone, where I store the photos and videos. Holystone HS700D. It was on sale for $239, not sure now.

Cut down 7 small red oaks yesterday. They all had a bark disease/canker. Seems to only affect the red oaks, and mostly the small ones. They were all about 6" (at 4') and 40 to 50 ft high...growing under the canopy of much larger oaks. There are a couple of bigger ones I need to cut, one looks like about 16" and 70' high. Also cut the last section of a big black cherry and split everything needing it, and filled up another pallet.

Saw a skunk out in the daytime at the edge of the woods, but it disappeared before I get to it and feed it a copper sandwich.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 42° with light rain this morning. Heading to 50° with some pm sun. Had a good time with son and his wife at sportsman show. Grandson decided to sleep in. Hope to get my shop projects from Saturday done and do a little outside walking today. Check garden pond for any fish that made it through the winter.
Check my calendar. Daylight savings starts next Sunday morning. I need to check my battery supplies for smoke and Co alarms.

Randy, sorry to hear no Mom visit. I went threw that a couple of times. Prayers for her.

RNG, lots of drones to pick from on Amazon. I could not figure out how to make a RC car go around an oval track without crashing. Not sure how I would do with a drone. Looking forward to your results.

Mostly, sorry for the vertigo. Hope it did not cause a problem with bike ride. :D

Looking, hope oil is eas. Like a loose plug.

Eric, mud boots.

Rick, great burn pictures.

Kyle, aphids. Not. The best way to remove the aphids is to submerge the vegetables in cold water for at least 10 minutes. Then drain, rinse them off, and dry them. Salad spinners are perfect for this.

Once the aphids have been drowned and rinsed off, the greens are perfectly safe to eat. Actually, it should be safe to eat the aphids as well, it's just unappetizing.

Wngsprd, our latest bad snow storm have hit in April. Hopefully with such a mild winter we have seen the last of any large amounts of snow.

David, are you putting a rail around upper porch?

Good Morning All.

Thanks, WNG! It's $225 at Amazon now, and you can use a $25 coupon, too. Just for grins, I typed the make and model number of the HS700D into YouTube, and found a video showing the calibration procedure, and another that featured it, but also several other drones that were recommended for beginners. The calibration procedure looked pretty rediculous: Do you really have to spin around three times, twice?

I'd looked at Holy Stone drones before, and they're the ones that I first read about fly aways. And the HS700D has almost 100 1 star reviews, most of which are fly away complaints. One guy even had one hit a palm tree, drop onto his Tesla, then take off again, hit the tree, fall on the Tesla, and than do it all again before he grabbed it, badly cutting his finger in the process. I'm delighted you've had no trouble so far, but several of the reviews say theirs worked fine for five or six flights before it turned into Mr. Hyde...

The guy that did the beginner video made another one six months later, and now it's about six months old, so I think I'll watch that one and maybe check out some of the recommendations. An absence of Amazon 1 star reviews I think will figure highly into my purchase decision.:confused2:
