As for batteries, took 2 half hour breaks and put batteries back in charger those times. Didn’t get a full recharge, but held up quite well.

Yes, I do have pt help. Canada Dave is here and a big help, especially yesterday. Only in late 50’s much stronger than I am. I purposely timed this project for when he is here (Jan - Mar) as he will be a prime benefactor of the carport, being able to park a car under while not here. This is same Canada Dave who has helped other projects thru the years, upper deck at cottage, the new solar panels, tractorshed work. He is here on vacation but his wife says he soon gets bored and likes being productive. I try to help.

When it comes time for actual erection my cottage tenant John will also assist and of course my tractor. They will benefit also, parking, increased water catchment, no rent increase.
Almost miss the old days when I could do a full 8 hours plus - NOT.

RNG have you considered galvanized fence post for the solar project?

I hadn't, but when I consulted with the engineer that designed the supports, he came back with ASTM F1083, Regular Grade, which is galvanized fence tubing with a yield strength of 30 ksi. Wish he would have said that in the beginning, rather than just assume a yield strength and specify "3" schedule 40 pipe".:confused3::pullinghair:

Most people would have taken the 20 ksi stuff the steel supplier wanted to supply in the beginning, but I can see the building department pitching a hissy fit over that.

When I gave the new spec to the steel supplier, I was told it was in stock and I could pick it up today...:mur::cool2:

And the FedEx driver called a few minute ago and said he's on his way with the generator.

When it rains, it pours!

Irv and I were going to get together last year. But other things happened. I have his phone number. Will try to call today.

No need to send out a search party for Irv. He is doing good. Just staying away from social media for a while. Going to have coffee with him next week.

A mixed level and cloud formation mostly cloudy 31コF for today's low. It got to 34コF today thanks to some sunshine this PM.

This is an interesting approaching complex storm system(s) tonight into the weekend. Posting "interesting" does not mean that I'll be enjoying the weather. It will probably start and finish as snow with a mix of rain and slop in between. I might see 4" total accumulation. This plot is actually an improvement regarding the icing potentials. Now it seems that I'll be driving Wifey through only one icing event.

I am appreciating all the pictures and videos posted.

It reads like the frequent posters are having + posts of improvements in health and ongoing projects.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Just finished chewing out an ECU nurse for taking 9 days to call with results of tests that they got the same day.
I reallllllly hope I get a questionnaire on that experience. The standards are falling due to cost cutting. No consideration of emotional needs
of patient waiting for results for more than a week. Thankfully the results were fine.

Sitting here with pretty sore neck from more than five hours driving. Easy fix on awning, nogo on lights. No access to wiring in rear as they built the oem light into a box, lot of labor at 150 dollars an hour. I promptly said no. Rained on and off. More rain coming.
$2.81 road diesel, 13.4mpg.

RNG, be careful on those slopes, quite an incline there.
PJ: have a ball with your new gizmo, real black box tech
David/Sodamo, pace yourself and don't throw your back out. Whatever you do I'm sure it will nice.
