OVERSIZE: I used Photobucket maybe 15 years ago when they first offered their free service so i know how to post links, but when PB changed the way I loaded pics and all the other bs I stopped using them about 5 years ago and I just download like emails with the thumbs now. I've heard some of the guys use Imgur, but not sure i want to give them all my pics and then have them raise their fees over the top like PB did.

any help is much appreciated, but not sure my pics are half as good as the guys posting these. here's my little Reed 4c sitting on my steel bench to show you I know how to post thumbs. not sure what is going to happen when I hit my limit of 10 pix either. to keep the thread on topic I'm also posting my 9 year old cat sitting in a tree bird hunting.

I totally agree about PB. Screw them guys.

Here's how I post pics on TBN. There are variations. This works best for me.

First size your pics under 1MB on your computer. I use pixel size to figure that out. I prefer 1280 pixels wide using a horizontal pic.

When replying or posting to an existing thread.
Click on "go advanced" below.
Then in the top row, farthest left icon, click on the blue A/A.
Then type whatever context you want to add if any.
Place your cursor where you want the pic to be. I usually "return" down 3 or 4 lines from my last text. Kinda gives the pic some separation.
In the second row of icons above, fourth from the right end is an icon that looks like a square pic with black dots in the corners, click on that.
A window open giving you a choice of uploading a pic from "computer" or "URL". You want computer. Click on "browse".
Now a window opens with every element of your computer. Sort thru and find your pic that you have already resized, click on it, then click "open".
Now you'll be back at the previous screen, click "upload file".
Now your pic will appear in your reply as a small thumbnail.
If you are satisfied with that size then click "submit reply".
If you want the pic to be a different size then double left click on the pic.
A window will open with various size choices. I use full size. Click on whatever you choose and then click "ok".
Your pic will appear in whatever size you chose in whatever location you chose.

OVER: thanks for the detailed response and hopefully i'll figure it out, but I might need a little help as i work through it. does TBN have a private messaging service like another forum I belong to so we can maybe talk about this without cluttering up the thread.

ALL: here's another picture that might help you see Cleo sitting in the tree. I also figured out how to use the private messaging for TBN so now i just need to work on my picture posting and finding threads that I find interesting or start a few. thanks for the help!!!

Also, the 10 pic limit is only for EACH TIME YOU CLICK THE UPLOAD BUTTON.
If I have more than 10 pics to upload, I select 10 and click upload. Select 10 more and click upload, etc.

I did not start this thread as a place for folks to post "perfect" pictures. Heck, I know mine are far from it sometimes.
The point of the thread is for anyone to post any pictures relating to nature in some way, shape, or form, regardless of quality.
I just enjoy nature and love seeing everyones pictures!

If you click on my name (ovrszd) a small window will appear. One of the options is send private message. When you come onto the TBN your first stop should be "My Home". It will list all threads that you have posted in that have added posts since your last visit. It also offers you many choices about your account including access to your PM Inbox.
