Kubota L4701HST
My Kubota L4701HST will run fine for about 15-30 minutes, full throttle, then will suddenly act as if under a great load and stall out. Will not recrank for 15-30 minutes. Then cranks and runs fine for a little while. Thermostat gauge not showing hot, but seems to take a long time to start moving up - It could be a bad gauge and is simply hot and not showing accurately. I also have been unable to get the DPF to regenerate. Has worked fine until lately. Lights are on, have tried to force it to run in Park, but no luck, will not ever clear when I run in full throttle. Run/-Min light goes off so it is getting enough RPM. I bought a new thermostat to install, but am now concerned that it is nothing to do with thermostat. My guess is it is the DPF possibly? Thermostat or gauge and thermostat both bad - Other thoughts? Also I have seen several posts on other sites regarding DPF deletion processes, but noe that see to work for Kubota. Anyone been able to make that work? Thanks for any assistance. PS - I would take to dealer but they are so backed up, would lose my tractor for a month or more while it sits waiting for its turn to get fixed.

And the bad news is - you'll probably have to take it to the dealer. If the DPF is clogged your tractor can't breathe. You could have a fuel issue - clog somewhere. You can go through the bleeding process and ensure fuel is flowing freely at all the bleed points. You could have a clogged fuel filter or algae blocking the exit from your fuel tank. You could have a clogged air filter. If your DPF won't regenerate though your problem is more likely with the computer or emissions system. You may need the power of the L4701 but you sure don't need the DPF headaches attached. Good luck on findidng a fix.

Have u tried running it w/o the fuel cap??
Check the elbow on the fuel filter head.. thats a good collection point for crud.
Also for any kinked or collapsed fuel lines from the tank to the filter. Good luck

From the other thread that the OP started recently, it appears that it was being run without coolant due to a leak in the line going to the coolant overflow tank.
Sounds like the tractor is/was overheating due to a lack of coolant, then cooling down and starting up.
