39 going to 45 and windy. Got a small rain last night.
One day is hearty stew by Randy, next BEF has BBQ or crab cakes - making me too hungry.
Eric - no pix necessary to prove your nappy skills.
Friends gave my wife a deodar cedar (3+ ft) as a memorial tree after her dad passed. We hiked around the property looking for the perfect planting spot, and I took my loopers for a little exercise. I need to cut down a nearby dead maple before planting, so it doesn't accidentally fall onto the cedar. It might be too windy today, but I'll see.
Don, would love to see some oak pix once you clear around it. There is an organization that catalogues the largest specimen of each tree species in the country, and many states have groups that do the same within the state. I read an article last month on the North Carolina trees, and how some folk's hobby is searching for new winners, especially after the current champion dies, or as the case was with this NC pine, gets blown over in a big storm. Maybe you have a champ.
