Saw this today. Have no idea if it’s legal but I reckon it is. Sure seems like a lot of weight up high.View attachment 622628

The forestry department does that here. Judging by the signs it looks like the same thing there. That dozer is 21,000 pounds. A tandom truck could haul nearly double that much.

Nothing wrong with that with the truck pictured but often people try this with Hinos or other mid size trucks without air brakes which is not okay. (Or the D6C I saw in the spring coming up our hill on a trailer pulled by a 3500 4x4 Dodge SRW pickup... also not okay)

About 80% of the weight is actually down at the bottom in the undercarriage and blade/frame. The cab weighs very little and the engine is relatively small by comparison to the rest of it.

Cow, deer, rabbit and bear poop are all in the Border Collies diet. She gets hollered at endlessly but still tries to sneak in a snack if possible. No kisses, never allowed that.

Yup, our dogs run from one deer 'snack' to another, apparently it needs to be aged, just right before they'll eat it, but they find more than enough that meet their expectations.

Quote "As for dogs and dishwashing that's what we always told first time guests at the remote mining claim. First, everyone throw your paper napkins into the empty serving dishes. We start dishwashing by wiping out the pots with those napkins, so we don't pollute the creek. That was for real. Then: 'Just put your plates on the ground for the dogs, we'll wash them after they're licked clean'. Got some interesting reactions. (We didn't really let that happen!)

LOL, reminds me,
When building our cabin we'd simply place our dirty dishes in the lake to soak as we had no sink nor hot water.
(Now this lake is all spring fed and really pure water.)

The minnows did our dish washing for us!
We only had to dry them.

Good old days.

Depending on the age and configuration that Ram 3500 may have had a towing capacity of 35,000 so that might not have been too far beyond spec.

You can put almost the weight of that dozer on a single axel truck. Depending on local regulations I think you can run a tandem at 60-65k. IMG_7076.JPG

Chicken, turkey, and pig, along with all that you mentioned. If he isn't grazing he's rolling in it. Right now I've got the water heater on, because apparently I've got a skunk living under my shed. Somehow he didn't actually get sprayed, but still has a whiff of the "perfume." That wasn't even on my list of things that I wanted to accomplish this weekend. :(
