Good Morning Everyone!!!!

I started the 2nd round of that :censored: prep drink at 4:00AM. An okra milkshake would taste pretty good at this point. 40コF presently; probably today's low temperature. Too early for Brogen to wake up and get off from that comfortable sofa.

BEF- I am happy to read that you will probably be discharged from home based PT although traveling somewhere to receive paint and torture is a PITA. I am sorry to read about the ongoing neuropathy.

My + thoughts and prayers for all.

good morning all.
Foggy 72 going up to high 80's today, start of a cooling trend to weather, see some nights in the 50s.

trip to dentist this morning, won't be pleasant, another cavity, then back to mow lawn.

I found this pic and sent it to my sister, told her I'd been away for awhile but I'll see her in April.
She replied smiling that she hoped she would look less perplexed this time. I think she was woken up from a nap
to come outside and play. I'm guessing 1957

68 looking for 78...hopefully a share of the light showers passing through later as the cold front drops in.

We are very dry...Thomas, that's why we have lots of leaves dropping already.

Eric, that's an impressive swim.

Now that it is getting light, I'll go hang all the bird feeders and refill them...and check the front yard trail cam to see if any big hairy visitors came through last night.

Poured first cup of coffee. 62° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with clearing skies in afternoon. Got some seat time yesterday pulling poles that bird feeders are mounted on. Then put them in new locations so they can be viewed better from kitchen window. I need to wash windows today. They have not been done all summer. May make a trip to HF.

Don, thanks. Picture is below. It was our first date.

Wngsprd, some of the projects I have on list are with tractor. I still have a pile of limbs to chip and fields need to be cut one more time. Plus I have a couple of request from neighbors to do some projects.

Jay, I hate the prep for colonoscopies. Had 6 of them over the years. Have a good healthy meal when you are sent home.

Drew, like the pictures of siblings. Here is one of mine. Taken around 1950.

Buckeye, glad you are improving. Sorry home PT is running out. Hope you will be able to drive soon.

David, hope the concrete project went well.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning!!!!

57F @ 4:30AM. Sunny. High 79F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Yesterday's front dropped not only rain, but the temperatures as well. First time we've been in the fifties since last spring. Yesterday's rainfall total topped out at just 0.24", but that's better than nothing. Another storm is on the way for tomorrow, but it looks like it'll pass to the north of here. It's a positive sign that we could be in for an early winter, and that's fine with me.

Great photos, Ron & Don. Wonderful memories...

Hope your bears hibernate sooner rather than later, Wng & Thomas.

What will you do with all your spare time now that the garden is finished for the year, Drew?

I used satellite photos to count all the dead trees and shrubs on the property yesterday, and came up with well over 300. That number, along with an estimate for what it will cost to dig each one out and dispose of the remains, and then replace it, went into the claim against PG&E I filed yesterday. The deadline for filing isn't until October, but somehow the bankruptcy court has already determined the total of all claims submitted will be 11 billion dollars. And I've read that less than 20% of the effected people have filed claims so far. I think we're gonna have to settle for pennies on the dollar, and PG&E and its officers will literally get away with murder.:muttering:

I also ordered thirty pounds of Preen, a granular pre-emergent I had some luck with in past years. Once things have had a chance to dry out for a few days, I'll get another tandem truck load of decomposed granite delivered, and will start covering up the last of the fire damage and sprinkling on all that Preen...

68°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 89° today. Looks like rain is forecast for Friday through Tuesday, but high temps will drop back to around 80° starting Saturday.

Nice pictures, gents.

Good Morning. It's 73° and forecast says only 86° this afternoon. Maybe ..... we'll get some rain from the disturbance in the GOM?

The sprinkler system, watering about three acres around the house, is running this morning ...... that should certainly assure some rain. Right?

I'm hoping to get the back, of one of our pastures, cleaned up before any rain starts.

RNG .... can you get Nitro-Phos Barricade Pre-Emergent out there? I use Barricade for our fall treatment and Bonide Weed Beater Complete, in the spring.

Jay ... sorry about your prep. Before my last colonoscopy they gave me a powder that could be mixed with orange PowerAde or Gatorade.

BEF ... That's good news ...You're making good progress.

Everyone have an excellent "Hump Day Eve"!

Prayers to all.

PT went well this morning. I let her believe she was the first to get me out on the porch. I did walk the length of the house 5 times with the walker.

I get re evaluated next week. Think i will lose home PT, doing too good. Right now 6 oct is my last date. Will go to outpatient PT next, which is a pain as wife will have to take me.

Not much done after that. Took an afternoon nap.

Finished watching a netfix series called Rust Valley Restorations, that restore old muscle cars from junk. Interesting show, but the canned drama got old.
The finished cars were awesome.

Agree on Rust Valley, drama got old.. but fun to see cars get done.

Eric, so we tied with 4 crossings. I'll take that.

Dry here, tree leaves looking wilted. My redbud has a big split in the trunk, must have been from ice last winter. Leaves ok on it.

Here's a pic of me as the cat strangler. Ron, this was taken after your prom pic...
My wife says Betty is cute, guess you thought so too.3_IMG_0001.jpeg

Poor cat.

Betty skipped school with my younger brother at our house. I met her as I was was getting ready to go to work on the afternoon shift. Couple weeks later while visiting a friend. His sister had a note asking me to call Betty. She asked me to take her too the prom. :cloud9:

Both of those products say they are safe for use on lawns, Rick, and I need a pre-emergent that also prevent grasses from sprouting. What am I missing?

It was 65 this morning in West Georgia and I got an early start on grading out the area behind my new shop to get ready for geotextile fabric and some #5 gravel. Looking forward to fall weather! It's been too hot for too long!
