I am sure it is not a true story, but many, many years ago I was told of a case where the body was cut up by the murderer, boiled, minced and fed to meat breed chickens. The chickens were then slaughtered, similarly boiled and minced and then fed to pigs. The pigs were duly slaughtered in their turn after having been sold to a big operation that made sausages, pies etc. The knife used in the murder, the mincer and all other contaminated items were burned/melted down in a forge and used to make some ground engaging pieces of equipment that the murderer then wore out on his farm. The problem I had with believing the story was - how did anybody come to find out what had been done?
Because 3 can keep a secret if 2 of them are dead.

A mechanic built a new metal shop not far off the highway. and then used the shop to repair 18 whl. type trucks, trailers and construction equipment.
one morning saw his building had been broken into and tools stolen . called insurance and police (if deputy did not see the breaking in or theft was not able to look for who done it. )Mechanic went to weekly news paper and placed and add. The shop had a camera and recording of who broke into his shop and if payment of several hundred dollars or return of stolen material wasn't paid by next publishing of paper he would post pictires in the paper. with in the week he stated more stolen property arrived than had been stolen.

There is a morel here some where.

A few years ago a neighbor of mine had acquired quite a few non running vehicles. Even had a security fence around his property. Had trouble with people cutting hole in fence, he started chaining hoods on cars down so they couldn't steal the batteries. Next they started jacking up the side of the cars and less than a few minutes with a cordless sazall could cut the converter off. This usually happened at night. So he sat a couple of the cars up with blocks on one side and broke some bottles and threw them under the car. Came in one morning and saw blood under one car with saw left. No more converters were taken for a long time. I heard of another junk yard owner who had trouble with people coming in after dark and stealing the radios out of cars. He super glued razor blades in the back side of the door handles. No more trouble.

Haven't heard of that technique in a long time. Back in the 50's and early 60's, fender skirts were all the rage. Some of the more talented guys soldered razor blades to the inside of the fender skirts, and I guess it was a bad day for the thief, according to the stories I've heard. I lived in Albuquerque, and they stole anything that wasn't tied down. I lost fender skirts, several sets of hub caps (I had a '55 Bel air 2dr hdtp) and my radio, all in the span of about two years. They popped the trunk on my Dad's car and stole everything including the spare. My brother's bicycle was taken from the porch; etc. etc. If you drove anything but an International truck, you couldn't leave it even in a parking lot at night. I put locks on my wheel covers; they cut them off with bolt cutters...yep, four flat tires.

It's one thing to set a trap for criminals, but irresponsible to set traps that might hurt animals. I know a guy being robbed blind, in broad daylight for his copper stuff and generator radiators. the Police, don't give a crap. My solution. You're old and don't need that junk anymore. Get rid of it! At his last place, the city warned him, then sent in crews to dispose of all his stuff! And billed him!

I just dont understand our laws where a person who habitual steels by breaking into your home get more rights even if dead than the one who is scared of losing property and feels unsafe on their own property.

I should come to expect this from the same justice system that lawfully allows abortions as a contraceptive.

When I was going up it was common knowledge that a local apple orchard protected their crop with shot guns loaded with rock salt. That practice ended abruptly when the owner's son did 2 years for assault with a deadly weapon. His mistake was jumping out and laughing at the guy, rather than staying hidden.

I think that would make such a mess, and possibly blow evidence over the chipper, the truck towing it, the area where it was done, etc... that no one would use it. There's been a few cases, but it's not a good way, if we're keeping score.

I'd guess he's buried in a corn field and the guy(s) that did it are now in a different corn field. Anytime more than one person knows about a crime, they become a liability to each other. Paranoia and distrust eventually take over reason. If everyone would just stick with the plan.... but no. Someone cracks.

So my advice is, if you choose a life of crime, go solo. ;)

As the old saying goes....

There's more than corn in Indiana.... ;)

There is the old saying ...That there is only one sure way for 2 people to keep a secret.....

'911, what is your emergency?'
'I was out in my shed and a guy broke in. I shot him and I think he's dead.'
'Are you sure he's dead?'
'I don't know, let me go check.'
:: Footsteps away from phone::
::BOOM::
::Footsteps back towards phone::
'Yup, he's dead.'

I grew up in that area also. Same time frame 50-60. If they couldn't steal it, brake it then they would crap all over it so no one else could use it. I posted the story elsewhere on TBN about the guy who thieves kept stealing out of his junk yard. Set a bear trap. Stopped that for awhile. I still return once in awhile for a visit. Parked RV at a rest area and went into the restroom in the morning and the maintaince fellow was in there repairing the door they busted during the night. He said it was a constant problem. Said they even blast the commode with a 12 ga. Rip the sinks off the walls. And yes I remember guys putting razor blades on their fender skirts and also hood latch.

At one time I identified perp that had robbed a client's property. (I located the items in a pawn shop)
The owner and I were ordered to appear in court to testify.
I lost 1/2 day over this action and since perp pled guilty they said that they did not need my testimony.
The result was that they paid me about $4.00 for my 1/2 day and 70 mile travel.

The perp cried on the stand saying he was drunk and had been dared to pull the stunt.
Now locally he was well known with frequent problems with the law but that was not brought up in court.

Ask me if I will be a witness again?

This is really very interesting....

On the one hand, you are saying that a bunch of screwdrivers are more important than a human life...

Then you go on to say that a group of cells is more important than the life/choice of the mother.

Pro-life indeed!
