“…. Always something to do, What Retirement !”- Scrambler…… I get in trouble when I get bored. I need to stay active.

“… in the woods...cleaning up fallen tree and limbs from the bad storm we got in June. Can now drive tractor around the trail, but still have some firewood to cut later.”- Billy My walking/snowshoeing path in the woods is in need of some serious clearing and cleanup from downed trees and limbs since the previous winter. Last year was just too wet for the tractor to operate in that part of the property; according to one town map part of my level ground is classified as wetland. Our most recent windstorm here just added to the existing mess.

Drew is your truck 4wd?? I've always been told on 4wd to replace all tires the same??

yes, thanks, I understand that, and the desire to not fake out your oem safety systems that are measuring
a great deal of things involving the wheels, as they assume equal grip. However...I rarely use 4wd, rarely (I would up North and have only been on the beach
here once) and while I've been rotating, current rears had significantly more tread left than fronts. I think it was from
tire scrub while pulling travel trailer for a couple of years

There is also a school of thought you put your new pair on the rears, always. Never quite understood the logic of that, particularly since I never let my tires get past the last third anyway. I love to feel safe in the rain and you just aren't with the bars showing.
Truck has air bag suspension and boy did it ride smoothly on the way home. Am always surprised how quiet that truck is,
except when I'm playing tunes with the muffler, and not quite acting my age. Just trying to enjoy my hemi while I can before
it gets taken away and they give me something electric. I still think a small block chevy sounds better but the hemi
has a little more bass to it.

Astros might have a better chance if the Yankees keep losing 3 a day.

Spent all day fighting to extend my STD past 8/30. Work had me down for LWOP instead of STD. Finally got my case manager to call back. He agreed to extend till next week. Now if it goes thru to work in time. I never got my last paycheck yet because of a mixup.

If you run a 4WD, or even a 2WD, with lockers, you'll get tire scrub if both tires on an axle aren't the same diameter. So the way Drew did it should be OK.

These days, many cars monitor tire pressure by measuring the rotation speed of each wheel. If one developes a flat, it spins faster because it's running a shorter radius but still has to keep up with all the rest of the good tires. If Drew's truck instead measures tire pressure directly, he shouldn't have a problem. Otherwise, the TPM will complain until he goes back and buys another pair of Michelins. He could still have problems if the traction control system expects all wheels to rotate at the same speed, since the new ones will have a larger diameter than the worn ones.
