We are on a rural coop for electric, I don't recall the kwh, but they "budget" our bill, it is $106 part of the year, then $121.. they can't figure out how to tune it better, I have to change the auto pay twice a year, but that is easier than trying to get the power company to set it to the annual average instead of a rolling lesser amount..

70°F and .13 inches rain.
Got the Kioti backhoe valve reinstalled and tested yesterday, hoping today I can get the gasline trench recovered.
Have to cook some chicken wings and take to a neighbor’s birthday party later.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

65°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 84° today.

A beautiful day for mid-August in the Midwest, which also marks the completion of my 53rd trip around the sun today. Taking a vacation / personal day tomorrow to have a three-day weekend.

Feeling much better today. Started feeling ill just before going to bed Tuesday night, then laid there shivering with a fever all night with no sleep. Went to work yesterday morning, but after several dizzy and nausea episodes, decided to go back home at 09:00. Spent the rest of the day in bed. Last temp check yesterday evening was 102.3°F. I guess I sweated it out last night, because I feel much better today, and temp this morning was 99.3°.

We get our electricity from a local rural co-op as well. I have no idea what our average rate is (not at home to look), but I know they run a surplus as we always get a small refund check every year.

Boo Boo seems more comfortable with you than you do with him, Thomas. That doesn't sound like a comfortable arrangement at all. I wonder if one of those high pitched ultrasonic noise maker things would do anything to improve matters?:confused2:
??????.
Wind chimes...they say music soothes savage beast. :confused3:

Checking In:

A mostly clear 54ºF for today’s low; a cloudy 77ºF presently, probably close to today’s anticipated high temperature, with a chance for some rain showers and/or T-storms later today. I foresee a lot of potential for afternoon showers and T-storms through the weekend with summertime heat and humidity. I got my hairs cut and picked up some prescriptions in the “Big City” this AM. Another +$400 for copayments for all the meds and syringes.

BEF- It reads like your progress is slowly accelerating. I hope that it continues.

Ted- I am sorry to read about Mr,. Knee acting up again. It’s tough trying to coordinate/synchronize lifestyles with another family, but it reads like things are going as well as can be expected. By the time you and Dona fine tune timing with your son and DIL it will be time to move out and into your new home.

Kyle- My condolences. Your Aunt chose her time and transitioned in her timeframe. May she RIP.

David- Thanks for sharing your pictures. Awesome.

Drew- Thanks for the Randy update.

RonJH- I am saddened to read about Betty. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers. Hang in there.

“… Eric I thought you already sent all the rule breakers to America centuries ago and only the decent law abiding people stayed behind.”- Don Don’t forget our rogue friends in Australia and New Zealand. ;)

Randy- Thanks for posting. Good luck. I am sure a lot of family are looking forward to your return home.

Paul- Happy Birthday!!!! I hope your birthday expectations will be exceeded. I wish you many more in health and happiness.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers

Before we moved back to town, we were on a rural electric coop. When you got your bill, the part you returned with your payment had a form for you to enter the new meter reading yourself. So we read our own meters and were always one month behind on the payment. They told us they were "supposed" to have an employee come read the meter themselves twice a year, but that they'd never found time to do it. If anyone besides myself EVER read the meter in the years we lived there, I never knew it.

OK, TXU Energy now has my bill in their website.

Now the "breakdown?" on the bill on 8/14/2019 shows:

Base Charge...…………………………………………….....$9.95
Energy Charge (1420 kWH x $0.0810000)..$124.82
Subtotal:...............…...……………………………...$134.77
TDU Charges and Other Fees
Oncor TDU Delivery Charges...………………….....$51.72
Gross Receipts Reimb…………………….……………....$3.72
Subtotal:.........................................…………$55.44
Sales Tax:...………………………………………………......$3.33

Service Address Charges Subtotal:...……….....$193.54

Total Miscellaneous Charges...………………...........$7.95

Current Charges:...…………………...............…...$201.49

That $7.95 miscellaneous charge is probably money wasted. It's for any necessary repairs due to a lightning strike.
