Rotary Cutter CountyLine Rotary Cutter for a NH TC35a?

I am in the market for a rotary cutter and out of all of the models I have seen, I have liked the price, quality, and weight of the CountyLine 6 foot model. My local Tractor Supply has a 100 dollar discount going on right now, making the price $1,299. All I plan to cut with this mower is established pasture, as my 289c and Diamond cutter handle the rest. Are these good cutters that will stand the test of time at a fair price?

I just bought a J Bar HD 5ft a month or so ago and have been impressed with it.
From my inexperienced eye I think the J Bar is constructed better than the CountyLine.

Five Mike if it was me and i could spare extra $ i would invest in a unit with thicker guage deck/ higher rated gearbox /chain guard instead of plastic rubber guard an clutch instead of a shear pin unit . If you set on a CountyLine why dont you ask TSC if CountyLine has a Pro grade implement like King Kutter and have them ship you one in and use the $100 discount ? There are standard line stuff like they stock outside (TSC/Rural King etc) and pro grade built stuff . Or call your local tractor dealers and ask what brand hoggs they carry and compare specs and prices . Just my :2cents:

At least some of the CountyLine products are made by King Kutter. Their discounts don't always apply to non-stock items.

These cutters all look like they're Tarters, but I don't know where they fit in the quality/economy line.

Slip clutches can be added though and I've seen them in stock at the stores.

Is this the one you’re considering? I saw one today at Tractor Supply. Seems like all that flat bar on the deck would trap all kinds of grass, dirt, and moisture leading to rust, etc. It’s also stitch welded instead welded all the way around.

I would avoid the CountyLine.
It is the cheapest on the market, and there is good reason for that!

And if all he's going to do with it is cut pasture grass, it'll last a Loonnngggg time.
And he'll never have to sharpen the blades.

I have a king kutter. Very similar cutter. If your just cutting pasture that thing will last a really long time. I beat the crap our of mine in the willow brush and it's still going strong.

I was looking at getting an off brand cutter a few years ago and my brother made a good point to me, he said "in 10 years where are you going to get parts for it?". I wound up with a Woods Brush Bull 6' off c-list for $1,350 in real good shape.
