Mine's as 'nice' as any other store.
TSC's have dark lots at night..ALL of them (we have 3 surrounding us and all are the same). Smaller than our RK (in a former sears in a mall) but that makes it MUCH easier to get in/out.
RK is cheaper, I like their chicken feed better than TSC. I like the tools/tractor parts at TSC better, implements..maybe RK wins a close race.
Emplyee help and knowledge? TSC hands down.
need to order something? Again, tsc hands down.
Need a gun? RK. THey also have a larger selection of chickens/turkeys..but again, customer service isn't good on them.
Got t-posts this time at RK, 10c cheaper than TSC, and needed scratch grains. t-posts used to be IN the store..so I walk dragging a stupid cart (caster wheels on wrong end) through a crowded store with narrow aisles to find NONE...had to go to the register and ask, pay, then go outside and drive to get them...at our RK outside is around the other side of the building..sears had multiple entrances but RK has only the one...pita.
Went to some 'farm' store in mid-ohio - it was much nicer and as cheap as RK. Can't recall the name, never saw them before.
I noticed RK has dropped King Kutter brand in favor of their new red RK line of implements and attachments. I assume that is to match their tractors now. I was looking for an average quality rotary cutter for someone, but their new line doesn't look as well built as KK to me. The one rotary cutter had a couple scrapes across the top, each of them 2" wide and a foot long, down to bare metal and fully rusted. These were just delivered and not even priced yet. I wonder who is making them for RK.
They're "RK by KingKutter". They're still made by KK. They're just painted red and have RK stickers on them.
