Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Wow! That would be great if they would extend the range up to about 300ft-lb.

Here's one (not on HF) that goes up to 250 ft-lbs
ACDelco 1/2 Digital Torque Adapter
I own one of these, and have used it extensively. It works well. I have never used the upper end of it's range, however.

There are also manufacturers selling 3/4" digital torque adapters that go up to 750 ft-lbs (here's one example). I've never used one, and don't think I'd really be interested in using an adapter at those kinds of torque values: I'd prefer to be using a decent quality torque wrench, rather than an adapter.

I got the Daytona 3 ton super duty professional yellow floor jack on sale for $175. Cheapest I've seen it in 3 years. China must be really slowing down over there. So we'll see how this goes. It is a beast of a jack, a bit larger in frame size that my Hein-Werner. I like it so far. What a horse it is. Nice HD wheels, and grease fitting too. Thanks for the responses.

Thanks! I would probably get the 750 ft- lb one but Im scared off by some of the reviews re electronics dying in storage and excessive battery consumption in use. I have a 250 capacity 1/2" wrench and seldom need to be accurate at higher torque.

Anyone get the full motion TV wall mount (37"-80"). We have two of them and they work great. Nice and solid. Would recommend. (about $40 on sale)

I bought my son this same one, he has zero complaints. No issues at all.

Anyone have experience with this 渡ew gun safe?

1 Gun Electronic Security Safe

Looked at them during my last visit, about two weeks ago.

The good:

Door is approximately 9 gauge steel, which is actually a nice upgrade over typical entry level gun safes that have a 12 gauge door.

They've improved the interior fit/finish vs. the Bunker Hill brand that used to be this product.

The bad:

The sides, back and top are thin. With a 9 guage door and a 179 pound total weight, you can be the sides and back are no more than 16 guage.

While we can't see it, I promise you the lock works are piss poor in comparison to a well built gun safe.

As with many things at HF, the quality has gone up over time, but they can't add steel and better lock works without increasing the price and (shipping) weight.

It will work to keep out the smash-and-grab crowd, and will keep your guns away from unauthorized hands. Buy it for that, but not for the illusion that it's real protection against a determined thief.

Well a nice lazy day today, went and got the truck washed.
Then wandered thru everyone's favorite trinket store walkd out $138 lighter.
A few pair of long pliers, couple of wheel chocks and an under hood led light.
Spent last weekend fighting to reach the fuel line clamps on an Isuzu Trooper of my wifes son,
pulled the top half of the intake reinstalled and ordered egr, throttle body and lower manifold gaskets,
as well as rear brake rotors and pads be back on that in a couple of weeks :grumpy:

If I haven't already, I'd like to retract my statement on the new blue flashlights about the new style bar versus the array of LED's, the light can be seen for a longer distance, but it's a less useful amount of light... I've had good luck with that style LED but that setup isn't up to the task... I retain my statement on the new style single LED black blue or red flashlights that are free with coupon (black) or two for $2 (blue and red), they're awesome compared to the old ones! It is a true focused beam and carries for a ways, unless you need the broad light spread of the old ones...

On another note, the new style green electric pressure washer that's always on sale for $80. As far as an electric pressure washer goes, it's decent, I bought one not long after they came out so about 2 years, drain the hose after use but that's all the care I've put to it. Works pretty good when all you need is the power of an electric pressure washer! My use has been mostly blowing moss off of things and blowing mud off of 4 wheelers and my off road truck and so forth. It's no gas powered pressure washer by any means but in the 10-20 hours or so of use I've put it through so far it's held up fine. I store it inside, but just in my pantry area that is not heated so gets coldish in the winter...
