David, those tips are exactly what we are doing. We are both here with him, someone always 'supervising'. If for some reason he has to be left alone, he has a crate, and it is acceptable to him. He has been what I would call "an excellent puppy", except for the hand biting and outside 'foraging'. Housebreaking is going as expected. He has not made a BM in the house. Only a few other 'accidents' , usually because we weren't paying attention to his signs / signals of impending actions.

I /we have great patience, just looking to see if we are forgetting something. Thanks for the tips.

Sounds like you are doing great. I suspect those are just 2 temporary puppy behaviors that will soon pass with continued correction. As bad as our Kalani was at the hand biting, once over it I don’t recall her regressing. she turns 12 in Jul. Even better, none of her puppies were biters when they left home.

Drew, if you makes pets of them that’s a lot of naming.

If I start naming my worms, Jay is going to call the little guys in white coats and they will surely haul me away...;)

Buppies- I hope the GI problems are short lived snd your blood sugars return to normal quickly.

".... Everything screws with your glycemic index. If I take prednisone for gout it screws it up, antibiotics, infection, stress, you name it. Mine use to randomly crash, never knew why."- Randy. I go hypoglycemic episodically too. My problem is that I do not recognize the symptoms. My levels go scary low. Thanks for the link. I wish your son success. I like the worm link too.

Ted- It seems that you and your wife are doing the right thing puppy training-wise. I bet that once the puppy teeth are gone a lot of the chewing/exploratory behavior will subside. Good suggestions given.

Drew- 3 hots, a cot, free in-house entertainment and mealtime floor shows in a soothing low stimulus environment and ground privileges for å*µood behavior;). Not too bad for someone who talks to worms. BTW Straightjackets are far more comfortable nowadays, but I would recommend a shot or two of Haldol instead.

Good evening all. 32F for the start, clear, calm. Wind stayed light, clouds started to move in early afternoon, and high temp was 54F. Worked on the 10-speed, damaged the valve stem, had to replace the tube. The brakes do not quick release so had to readjust the bakes as well. Was going to ride it, but the right crank arm is cross-threaded, so back to the volagi. Did get a bike ride in, and a short nap.
Drew, have 2 immediate family members with afib. Dr thought it would be good idea to check out, also I do have a slight murmur, found 3 years ago
Cute worm video!
Mike sorry to hear about FIL, hope everything comes out ok. prayers for your family. Hope the storms are not getting to your buildings.
Ted, nice puppy pics.
Had a Australian Shepard that started chewing on rockers, cayenne pepper worked well:laughing:
Dad had Alzheimers there came a point his wife and children could not properly care for him at home. Mom was not forth coming with her medical problems and got hospitalized. She never recovered to the point of leaving skilled nursing care.
prayers for all.

30 right now and the high will be 28 today...another cold (meaning frigid) front coming through. After a cup of coffee or two, I'll heading out and spread ice melt, then grab my morning shower

Low 30’s for us today with some flurries this afternoon. My wife is continuing to mend and doing better. She will attempt to go to work today. She drove a little yesterday and wasn’t in to much pain. Stay safe all!
