David, those tips are exactly what we are doing. We are both here with him, someone always 'supervising'. If for some reason he has to be left alone, he has a crate, and it is acceptable to him. He has been what I would call "an excellent puppy", except for the hand biting and outside 'foraging'. Housebreaking is going as expected. He has not made a BM in the house. Only a few other 'accidents' , usually because we weren't paying attention to his signs / signals of impending actions.
I /we have great patience, just looking to see if we are forgetting something. Thanks for the tips.
Sounds like you are doing great. I suspect those are just 2 temporary puppy behaviors that will soon pass with continued correction. As bad as our Kalani was at the hand biting, once over it I don’t recall her regressing. she turns 12 in Jul. Even better, none of her puppies were biters when they left home.
