Good Morning Everyone!!!!!
A rainy day today. Today's low was 35ºF; presently 48ºF. The driveway is an ice skating rink. I need to call the plow guy for a decent sanding after the rain tomorrow. No way I am going outside any time soon.
David- Awesome drone shot of your beautiful place. Thanks for sharing. I have no drone pictures of this place only videos. No way I can come close to the quality of a Phantom or similar quality drone's pics and vids with my homebuilt. I will post that I got "close" in quality with all the modifications that I made over time. That was part of the fun; I needed to create a spreadsheet for all the changes that I made and the results.
Like many of you over the years the anniversary gifts changed from neat stuff that I liked, to stuff wifey liked to to practical stuff and now just a quiet dinner for two at a decent restaurant. We have everything that we really need and never had a need to advertise our good fortunes. Wifey likes to go on vacations. We actually were planning to go to the Cayman Islands in February. We canceled which proved somewhat costly even with the travel insurance.,
".... Buppies, if your wifey is happy, then we are all happy for her. Hope you get better yourself." Kyle. Nicely posted and I agree.
Buppies- Good luck with the arm.
Drew- I am sorry to read about lack of follow through by the Massey dealership; especially the HST shake. That top link cylinder is huge.

I wish that I could recommend a decent learning curve (i.e. robust) pic/video drone, but the market is so fluid with all the developing technologies that everything that I would recommend is dated. One crashes a lot in the beginning which can get expensive. And trusting a powerful flight controller that flies itself can result in an expensive crash or worse fly-a-way. If you find a drone that is interesting; I would enjoy researching it out. DJI does come to mind. David has a DJI product (if I remember correctly), I have a DJI product. The Mavic is a DJI product. RNG is right. One needs a cheap I.e. expendable learning drone that can be easily replaced or repaired which requires part availability.
Mike- I am sorry to read about your FIL. I had a similar injury; it was a long and painful rehab and I was in my early 40's when that injury occurred. It will be a long haul for your FIL. Special +thoughts, wishes, and prayers. Your SIL is a hero. Entitlement seems to be an age related process.
"... Hard to get elderly people/parents to change their lifestyle. It usually takes some kind of life changing illness or injury to make the change. I guess I am in that group. But not ready to make any changes YET."- RonJH Well posted.
Don- We have no children. Your points are valid too. It seems that many times retirement/aging in place plans are replaced by knee-jerk reactions to a life changing event and unfortunately result in a unplanned placement in a longterm care facility
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers
